Maybe it was great back in the day, but many others have mastered the brick oven pizza. It is ok for brick oven pizza but nothin special, the sauce is good, but the cheese and texture of the dough was lacking. It took a hour to get the pizza, not acceptable.

Pepe’s consistently delivers a great tasting pizza whether dining in or taking out. They do a great job serving a lot of people out of their West Hartford location and our family enjoys the plain cheese and veggie pizza options. Ingredients are fresh. Crust is just the right thickness, taste and texture. The servers are always pleasant no matter how crazy busy it gets. It can be a little hectic in the dining area depending on the time of day that you visit. Keep up the great work.

The pizza was too dry and hard, it felt like eating cardboard. The texture was terrible! This is nothing like an authentic Italian pizza. This place is all hype and no substance!
