The service was pretty quick considering how many people were there,the staff was very friendly and polite and helpful, the food was excellent and was neatly packaged in a box with a cover put on that you can request for, definitely worth the price that it cost.

This place rivals blackie's for best hot dog you can get near Waterbury. They do a footlong style and are known for their sweet or spicy relish on a buttered roll. You have to get the hot dog when you go here even though there are some other things you can get that are pretty good. I would certainly recommend curly fries and a Birch beer but the hidden gem of this place is the fried mushrooms which have a buttery and garlic soft inside and crisp outside that kind of reminds you of a poor man's escargot. But you won't feel poor at all when you have these fantastic mushrooms with tartar sauce. If you want to sit down and eat your hot dog go to the Reedville drive location, it's laid back and there's nostalgic things on the wall.

Outside take is very Old school but at Frankie's it's just the way it's supposed to be . It it was a indoor restaurant you would never get through the door because it would always be packed

This is a drive in with no indoor seating or table service. Best hot dog in Connecticut. Plenty of other drive in options. Food always consist and always very good. Been coming here for most of my 75 years beginning with my parents back in the 50's.

Casual walk-up food. I really love this place, a good hot dog is such a good guilty pleasure! Everyone is always really nice too, the last time I was there it started POURING and they really went above and beyond to make sure I had a cover to keep my food dry for the walk to the car, which they really didn't need to do since I was parked maybe 15ft away. Love the food, love the staff and love the retro-feel atmosphere.

This place is such a classic that going there is almost like stepping back in time. The service is fast and the food is fantastic.
Of course the dogs and burgers are great but they also have great clam strip and shrimp platters too. And the steak fries and onion rings are incredible.
Ordered the fried cheese cubes - it’s literally velveeta cheese with breading… ptsd 🤣 wasted $7.50

After years of swearing I'd never return, I should have stuck to my promise. I don't mind waiting for food. I have a problem when a person who ordered after me was served before me w/a larger order (as my food is sitting there) - yeah that was annoying. Then, as I'm watching my burger just sit there for a few minutes after, the girl who picked up my food only had one glove on. I saw her touching my food without the glove on. I saw her touching everything in that place, including cash while I waited. I didn't see her wash her hands. I refuse to eat somewhere that unsanitary. Last time I tried to go there I was straight up ignored at the counter while others who arrived after me got to place their order ahead of mine. I sworn then this place wasn't worth my money & today it just proved it all over again. Nasty hands with a side of disorganized? No, thank you. 🙅♀️
