Happy Dragon Chinese Restaurant

I’m originally from NYC and was craving some Chinese food but was nervous about how it might taste here in CT. I googled Chinese food near me after I finished shopping and this place popped up first with great reviews so I said let’s give it a try. So glad I took the leap of faith!! The food was very fresh, tasty and a great portion. I will definitely be returning to try another one of my NYC favorites.

Arrived in a clean, comfortable store to a friendly lady at the front counter. She was patient with my order and answered questions I had about menu items. The food was cooked fresh and hot. Crab rangoons were stuffed with filling and had a nice crisp wonton shell unlike some other places that don't deliver on the crunch. I've been hesitant to try this place simply because they don't have a menu listed. Posting some updated pictures of their menu so others don't miss out on this gem. Pricing is great 👍🏼 to top it off. Only discrepancy was they wouldn't cook boneless ribs crispy, upon request, I was told no, an otherwise pleasant experience and id recommend them.

Usually never a problem here ,but ordered later then I usually do because of working late ,spent $54 dollars and one of thr dishes I ordered had nothing but onions ,some carrots and that's all barely any shrimp ,rice tasted old and chicken tereakyi tasted burnt, I dont think I'll go back again I should have went home and made dinner instead of wasting over 50 dollars on shitty food .

I ordered a general gaus chicken with rice and egg roll. I saw that this place only accepted cash. So luckily I only lived 3 minutes away. I ran back home after arriving and grabbed some cash. The people are very nice and on my first bite the food was so delicious. The chicken was tender and the rice was cooked to perfection. The food last me a couple of days. Very generous portions. Will definitely come back again. Just remember to bring straight cash, other than that, I’d give this place 5 stars 🌟

I wanted some spare ribs so bad and I gave this place a try . I wasn’t disappointed wow! Nice portion it wasn’t dry tender and the rice was good thanks so much. I hope it’s like this when I come back 😂💕it’s hard to find decent and or good food in Waterbury.
I plan on going on a diet soon.

Waste a place Chinese restaurant in New York is smarter than you no credit card or debit payment accepted waste a time the school kids or smarter than you and also the heavenly creatures and earth creatures ..better sense you lost a sale who you going to resell that half a chicken to I got more chicken from stop shop than a Chinese restaurant..you should have said that over the phone no credit or debit payment..so I like Google allways ask how was my visit..as usual this is my experience...also Chinese restaurants in scam cities or smarter than you ......you cost it what was the option..upgrade to new devices such as verifone or get funding to expand your business and your distribution..see the local town board ..for furrher information...talk to the school kids..not chinese..so have a good day or whatever you do after you read this one ..nasty place nasty attitude leads to rat in food..
