Love this place. Easily some of the best. BBQ in the state. Highly recommend the Texas Twinkies.

The group I was with passed by and noticed the BBQ smell in the air so we decided to pop in for a late lunch. This place is a little gem, got a pulled pork sandwich and the sidewinder fries they were excellent. Service was also great and food came relatively quick.

First time ordering, dropped $125 dollars
Ordered loaded potato salad, I got regular potato salad, Mac and cheese was so dry you could use it as kindling for a fire, one of our sandwiches was supposed to come with another side of Mac and cheese and I didn't get it, the brisket was nothing but fat, mash potatoes are tasteless and the food was cold, and the food portions are so small, you would think paying 20 buck for a sandwich that it would be bigger then a chihuahua's head.
Honestly im so disappointed in the food definitely not worth the money, it was just a waste of my time

Love Hindsight! It’s a regular spot for my husband and me the food is always delicious. My husband swears by the brisket, and I’m obsessed with the pork belly. The staff is consistently pleasant and friendly too.

The atmosphere was good and the food had great flavor; however, the brisket was cold at the time it was served.

i had high hopes for this place. Being from the South, I was excited to find authentic BBQ up north, and the vibe and staff here are actually great. However, the food was a letdown. My entire order was cold just five minutes after picking it up, which makes it feel like nothing is being made fresh. The meat was chewy and lacked that real smoky flavor—it tasted more like basic meat with sauce on top. Even the sides, like the mashed potatoes and cornbread, were cold and dry. Really disappointing experience for the price.

WOW – brought 13 people here and it was an absolute hit with everyone!
From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home.

They handled our large group like pros – friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to be there. But the real star of the show? Miguel the cook. This guy is an absolute legend. You could tell he takes serious pride in what he’s doing back there, and it shows in every single plate that came out.

The food was INCREDIBLE. The brisket had that perfect bark and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that real BBQ lovers dream about. The ribs fell right off the bone. We tried a little of everything – pulled pork, mac and cheese, the works – and not a single miss in the bunch. The smoky flavor is on point and you can taste the quality in every bite.

This place has quickly become one of our go-to spots. The outdoor patio gives off those perfect BBQ vibes, and even with our big group, everyone was comfortable and well taken care of.

Quick tip for anyone heading here: Don’t let the road construction throw you off! Thomaston Ave in front of the restaurant is currently closed, but you CAN still park on the street directly in front of Hindsight. Easy access, no problem at all.

If you haven’t been to Hindsight BBQ yet, you’re missing out. Shoutout to Miguel and the whole crew – we’ll definitely be back!

I typically would have gone higher but the portion sizes are really really small for the high prices and no side included. Food is great though, just small portions for the price.

I got takeout so your milage may vary, that being said i loosen my expectations when the food is sitting in my car for 10+ minutes because not everything travels well, but this place definitely passes on that aspect, definitely wanna compare how it is on a dine in but I ordered wings, a sampler and onion rings and was really pleasantly surprised. The onion rings actually had FLAVOR which was unexpected, I was ready for some generic greasy side but it actually has a sweet taste with a very mild spice after taste. The wings had a solid smoky flavor from the cook and I got the sweet heat and felt like the sauce was cooked in which is what I prefer rather than being tossed post cook. The sausage tastes fantastic the ribs had a nice smoke on them with a BBQ glaze, feel like I need to give the brisket a second chance on a dine in typically ive found it doesn't travel the best but it still tasted good. Will repeat, Mac and cheese was solid, wish the slaw was a bit creamier and the pickle chips provide a nice pallet cleanse.

One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve had. Yummy slaw and tasty pickles.

My wife took me here to enjoy a quiet Veterans Day lunch for my service in the Marines.

Unfortunately, ran into confusion with the cashier girl about my order. She missed 2 sides that I explicitly ordered, resulting in us waiting for food that would have never arrived. We all make mistakes, but how it is handled is what matters.

When I approached her, she expressed zero empathy, zero sense of conflict resolution, and zero apology. I was just about to make a 2nd order with the missing items, but the cashier girl's unprofessional demeanor ruined any will to continue dining. I was about to pick up my things and leave, but a woman named Nicole sprung up and grabbed the sides from the kitchen herself.

Nicole apologized to us, expressed humility, and owned up despite having nothing to do with the confusion. Nicole is a brilliant example in leadership and genuine care. She turned my downhill experience into an absolute delight. This place will always have our business.
