Food was underwhelming, except for the meatball appetizer. They forgot half of my wife’s order. My lobster ravioli was cold. The crème brulee was flavorless. Terrible terrible experience.

We wanted coffee with our dessert and the waitress said they didn’t have coffee. We were offered cappuccino and espresso but no coffee. What restaurant doesn’t have coffee? I would have rated them a 5 but no coffee?? 1-24-26

I want to start by saying our waiter was excellent. There was a mix-up at our table where a burger was confused with a steak, and he handled it quickly and professionally. He was sweet, charismatic, and clearly doing his best.
Unfortunately, the problems came from the kitchen. My mother’s salmon came out raw in the center, which is unacceptable. While our waiter was kind, it was difficult to get his attention once the food issues became apparent.
My chicken parmesan was also disappointing, the sauce was extremely watery, to the point where you could visibly see pasta water separating from it. The dish lacked both proper texture and flavor.
I truly wanted to love this place, but the food quality fell short. I’ve honestly had better service at D’Amelio’s and should’ve just gone there.

Shrimp appy was delectable with a sauce so perfect we wanted a spoon! Both the Pork Chop and the Scarpiello mains were equally perfect. The peppermint cheesecake although festive was just ok. Our server was distracted which also distracted our experience. ,Although it was a Monday night, still holiday attendance filled the space.

As a visitor to Waterbury we were told we needed to dine here during our stay. We dined for lunch on a Monday and had a wonderful server. We ordered the Eggplant appetizer and it was definitely big enough for two. We enjoyed the sparkling water, along with the complimentary bread. Our pasta dishes were wonderful bursting with flavor. I can highly recommend dining here.

Never again. Made reservations about a week ago. We show up for a special evening and couldn’t even get in the door. Once my wife finally did she was told our six o’clock confirmed reservation would be thirty to forty five minutes later. We left.
Years ago I had a particular dish there that I raved about and I said I was going to go back well I did on 10/2/25 to grab it for lunch. I was so disappointed that for 30$ I received what I got the portion size, the pasta was dry and the chicken was over cooked. All I wanted was some yummy penne vodka pasta to sooth how my day started and instead all I got was the way my day started in a container. I swear it’s hard to find consistent restaurants in Waterbury.

I had to plan a surprise birthday party in 30 days and after visiting multiple restaurants, LaTavola didn’t hesitate to make this dinner party come to life! Heather, the event planner was wonderful. The food was amazing and our waiters April and Josh made our gathering smooth and easy. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was! Thank you Nick! It was the first visit here and it was a very pleasant surprise. The food was prepared perfectly including an outstanding Caesar salad, beet salad with shrimp and perfectly prepared salmon, ravioli, gnocchi and cocktails! Portions are large and easy to share. Service was exceptional!
