Tried Louie’s Pizza House in downtown Waterbury and loved it. The chicken Parmesan grinder and Caesar salad were both on point. Super friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend — I’ll be back to try more items.

I have ordered from louies for years and I have enjoyed pizza, dinners and grinders. But this last time feb 2026 was not good at all. Didnt follow instructions. And the instructions not complicated . When I called about my order I could tell different owners and they think they make orders right and debate. Im not the one to debate especially if I pay almost 40 dollars on grinders. Don't play...louies fell off. BIG TIME. I told the guy I'm going to post a review and I don't normally do.He didnt care. That's telling especially from a patron from years. Do better ✌️

At one point I ordered all the time. I was never a fan of pastrami but their pastrami grinder was a1. I ordered a few times, and they got my order completely wrong, deciding to do whatever they wanted with the sandwich. I can't take shredded lettuce off. None of the toppings I had asked for were on my sandwich, and when I called, the lady just apologized. I would not be ordering again, as this been happening a few times to me & now they finally lost a consistent customer.

I absolutely cannot stop talking about the wraps My favorite, chicken bacon ranchwith a side of big perfect onion rings fried right‼️😋,or the biggest helping of perfect fries I've always loved this place, I moved here 30 years ago, and since day one , the food and service has always been consistent If you are hungry, and in Waterbury CT, please don't forget to try Louie's pizza house

Pizza very good.But the grill chiken sandwich is so delisius ..
The service was terrible. I ordered a 2 pepperoni pizzas and she tried to give them to me cold not even warmed up. Then looked at me like I was crazy for asking her to warm my food up smh I’m never coming here again.

On a Positive Note: The Louie’s special is always hot and tasty.
Today I noticed I was charged more than I usually pay, $17.18. While I usually pay with cash, today I paid with a credit card. The cashier balled up my receipt without asking me if I wanted it. I requested a receipt which required her to re-print it.
When I noticed the increase in price, I asked about it and she explained that it was because I used a credit card.🤔 I asked her if that was legal? Her response was ,”Yeah, I think so:”🤔🤦♀️ Then her and the other female behind the counter, began to discuss my inquiry as though I could not hear them.
The Verdict: The pizza and the cheesecake are both delicious. BEWARE, you will get charged a higher amount if you pay with a credit card.
I noticed this practice with another restaurant in Waterbury, unlike Louie’s the other place boldy displays the price difference on the receipt. The cashier at Louie’s balled my receipt and tossed it in the trash. Thereafter, upon request, she printed a receipt for me.
My credit card needs to be credited $.52.

placed a order for delivery 2 sandwich and a pizza one of the sandwich was messed up called back told them the situation they gave me 2 options pick my food up because they are busy and shorthanded or get a credit for a next delivery i agreed to go pick my order up when i get there to pick my food up i look at there delivery board they have no delivery up at all only a uber order and 3 drivers 1 folding boxes and the others just sitting there dont like being lied to i paid delivery charge and a nice tip with you being that slow you could have sent the grinder out just lazy so now i will take my business elsewhere i dont order much but probably about 1500$ a year i will give to someone who cares about my business lol dum dum i used to work there thqats how i know the process and you dont even have screens you paper receipts and that is where all the drivers sit but yet you dont provide false statements losers
