We’ve been a few times and had a decent experience experience. However ordered takeout twice recently and the menu online does not match what they offer in store which is disappointing. The takeout portions were very small compared to the price. Ordered takeout most recently on Friday and we all got food poisoning. The chicken was also tasteless which is disappointing given that usually Puerto Rican chicken is much more flavorful. Definitely do not recommend.
I've been there twice and will definitely go again. I just wish they weren't always out of flan, but the tres leches cake is very good 😊
They don't have good hospitality! He don't even ask what u want and assume everyone wants yellow rice without asking and then u tell him that's not what I wanted he said why I didn't say so and I told him why u didn't asked?? Bad service and attitude but had to be the better person!! Bad hospitality
I ate from here for the first time today when we ordered for work. It was awful. My chicken was dry (you can tell it was sitting in a steam table for possibly days) and the mofongo was dehydrated and had no flavor. Others at work got the pork and felt ill within hours of eating. I guess I should be happy that mine was just dry as a mummy and not giving me major GI issues. I’ll stick to making my own.
Tried Mofongo for lunch on my way home and it was 10/10! Recommending to all my friends and family ♡
The guy give me the wrong order call multiple times come as they are closing he ignores me and doesn’t give me my money back

havnt ate here yet but i have to say something important. looking through the reviews are people who are jealous that this place exist and they’re mad that they couldn’t create something like this so they are purposely putting negative reviews on the site. the complaints are about prices, and if you knew how much shrimp costs, and platain, and rice and beans and sauces and the hard work that has to be done just to make this mofongo plate you wouldn’t understand that the price is perfect for that. they also have to pay employees for the long hours it take to make those dishes. not a easy task when you have to feed hundreds of customers for dishes that take over an hour just to feed two people so imagine hundreds. if you are puerto rican you know it is back breaking work just to feed your family at home imagine an entire city. on top of that you have to make the food taste good everytime for the customers maybe it may taste good one day and taste okay the next time you come because this is real food made at home to serve at a restaurant and certain foods are made there but im pretty sure that food has to be overnight just to feed you it is not mcdonalds where everything taste the same because it is frozen processed food that goes through a machine to make and heated up to serve millions this is authentic food that is human made by hand and hours of peeling the plaintains, hours of cooking rice, hours of peeling shrimps, hours of cooking meat hours of making sauces. it’s not a game it’s hard work. so atleast you can do is support a local restaurant that brung food to a city that doesn’t have puerto rican food or food period this city is dead with no life they are bringing something to eat. so on that note i will support my puerto ricans people and not put them down. and if you don’t believe me go to a puerto rican friend or family house and request these items they aren’t gonna make it too much work to make at home imagine a restaurant. so cuz of that i will show my respect and love to these people.

Stopped here during a road trip and wish I could’ve kept on going to the next place. This is NOT Puerto Rican owned or run. I spoke to the obvious boss in Spanish and she looked at me like I was crazy. Turns out it’s an Indian woman who was walking around lording over the employees. The food is sub par. The potato balls/rellenos were nothing short of disgusting, lumpy with a weird flavored meat. Disgusting. Hunger was the only reason I ate them and the price paid for them. I repeat, you will not get authentic P. R food. The level of disrespect to our good food was epic.

Unfortunately, mofongo is sancochao. Not fried. They don't add pork rinds, the fried meat is mongo, and they don't give you broth, they simply add broth from the stews they have.
