I’d like to start off by saying I’ve been coming here for a straight year and a half and never had an issue. Breakfast was always cheap and good. Today things took a turn for the worst, upon entry The place smelled awful and wretched. After with a considerable amount of time waiting for my food my wife got her plate with undercooked Hashbrowns so we ask for a replacement plate. After receiving the replacement plate we found that there was hair on the hashbrowns so we immediately sent that plate back to the kitchen. The owner/cook refuse to take the meal out of our bill. I politely asked the waitress to the table to not cause a scene in front of the restaurant saying that there was not one but two issues in the same 30 minutes. Our waitress had eyes on the hair then all of a sudden didn’t know if there was hair on the plate after sending it back to the kitchen. After arguing with the owner/cook told me “to pay for what I had ate and never come back here”Even if this place was to suddenly get better by the GRACE OF GOD I would never go back there due to the level of disrespect shown to me and my newly started family. Anyone who considers eating here, TRY YOUR LUCK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I discovered this establishment during my first pregnancy in 2022, fostering a loyalty that endured until today with my 10month infant. Reflecting on all the money and time spent here. Despite any warnings from the owner or chef, my decision to sever ties with this place was already imminent. Upon arrival, our sluggish, inattentive blonde waitress overlooked providing cream for our coffee. Attempts to draw attention from her were nearly impossible, leaving my coffee cold and the ice in my water melted by the time our order arrived. So I'll leave that for you to figure out how long we waited there until she arrived for only the second time.. I ordered the corned beef hash egg breakfast with homefries and toast, only to be met with a distasteful experience. The home fries were not only cold but also underdone, revealing a lack of adequate thawing before cooking. Drawing upon my extensive restaurant experience, spanning from mom-and-pop diners to fine dining establishments, I recognized a flaw in the kitchen's process. Seeking remedy, I asked for a replacement plate and opted for a simpler dish – eggs, toast, homefries, and bacon. However, the disappointment persisted. The home fries on the second plate were once again cold and underdone, accompanied by an unwelcome surprise, a short black hair beneath the potatoes. Efforts to address yet another issue with our waitress proved challenging, as she actively avoided eye contact or any contact for that matter. My fiancé took the initiative to engage her, pointing out the hair. Though she initially acknowledged the problem and acted in a shocked manner when looking at the hair, her subsequent actions spoke louder than words. She said “I will absolutely take this off for you too” as she took the old bill and second plate away. After an extended period of conversing with other tables and the older lady working alongside her, she returned with a new bill, revealing that the chef denied any adjustments and insisted we pay for everything. “Yeah, he’s not letting me take any plates off, he said you have to pay for everything.” I said “Did you not see the hair on my plate before you took it away and said you will take it off the bill?” Her face flushed red and eyes fluttered. “I don't know, I'm so distracted, I don't think I saw a hair.” It was at that point that I knew whoever was running this establishment does not have the mental capacity to even hire employees with the tiniest bit of empathy, honesty, and integrity. I knew that this “family” business was not for families at all. A place I saw my future generations returning to as a tradition actually favored the money and the greed over the wellbeing and the brand that the restaurant serves as. A family restaurant right? As we refused to pay for plates we did not eat, the waitress's eye-rolling dismissal left us in a state of shock. She literally walked away right after we told her we weren’t paying. We had no choice but to look for someone else who worked there. Walking up to the kitchen window, we confronted the chef, presumably the owner, only to be met with further disrespect and an unwarranted directive to never return. This appalling treatment, unparalleled in our past experiences, underscores a profound deficiency in the establishment's commitment to customer well-being. “Pay for what you ate and never come back here.” With my baby on my hip as I'm telling this man how long I’ve been a customer there. My sincere advice to this business is to either consider retiring or, at the very least, undergo a thorough reevaluation in hiring individuals with the mental acuity to make rational decisions based on evidence and ethical principles. The survival and success of any business rests not solely on financial considerations but on the substance, integrity, and customer-centric values that will sustain it for generations to come.
