Ordered a curry chicken, plain fried rice, and egg roll. The egg roll was delicious and fresh. The curry smelled great, and I could not wait to eat it. But it was shrimp and mushrooms. Could not eat it. The worst thing is to happen when you're hungry and it's late.

Ordered a small shrimp with garlic sauce which was tasty. $11 is expensive for 5 shrimp, overwhelming amount of veggies and no spicy.

They used to have the best boneless spare ribs and then they started over cooking them so I stopped going there, they used to be my favorite now I just go to la borichina

Hing Wong is a small Chinese takeout spot located right off Route 8 on Huntington Ave in Waterbury. Conveniently located across from Cumberland Farms, Hing Wong offers your classic varieties of American/New York-style Chinese Food.
Similar to those classic hole-in-the wall places seen all over NYC, Hing Wong does not look like much on the outside, but that's okay because the food is excellent! All menu items are prepared fresh and are served in large portions at relatively cheap prices. Definitely check out their lunch specials where you can get a whole meal for under $10. My personal favorites are General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Boneless Ribs, and Hunan Beef.
Even if you are loyal to your current Chinese restaurant, definitely check this one out and work it into your rotation. Hing Wong is open 6 days a week and is available for dine-in(very small space), takeout, and delivery

Buyer beware this place is a scam with poor customer service. Ordered through Door Dash combo platter and requested sauces with my order. Never recieved an egg roll as part of my order and no sauces were included. Called the restaurant and was told to contact DoorDash to reconcile issue. No help at all.
Regarding the food - terrible. Lo Mein taste like plain noodles with no flavor at all. Fried rice - same thing. Avoid this place. It's a dump.

This place has undergone significant changes in customer service over the past year or so. However, there have been some concerns regarding their pricing. It seems that they are charging more than what is listed on the menu, sometimes an additional $5-$12. This inconsistency has become frustrating, especially when the same meals were priced at $32 just a year ago and are now almost $48. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the owner attempted to attribute it to a credit card fee, but the menu clearly states a minimum of $10. My bill was $46, which doesn't align with their explanation. While the food is decent, I have decided not to patronize this establishment anymore. As a loyal customer, it's disheartening to have to make this decision. I will be exploring other options, such as Highland Garden, where I feel my patronage is truly valued. Additionally, it's disconcerting that they are charging $46 for 3 combinations that were supposed to be $10.75 each, as indicated on their brand new menu.

Ordered take out recently and overall we enjoyed our food. :) I would like to see slightly more vegetables in the lo mein and a little less oil, but overall everything we ordered was tasty and fresh.
I was surprised however, to see no fortune cookies. We had what I think is sort of a large order (about $75) for just two people (we have different tastes) and I kinda feel like we could have at least received 2 cookies, like most restaurants traditionally give.
For those reasons I would rate our overall experience 4 stars; food was delicious and we would order here again.

Food uses to taste great. Now, it seems that they skimp on shrimp in the fried rice. Food just seems rushed. Quality has gone down.

Hing wong is a neighborhood staple, been here as long as i can remember, and the people are so friendly, and the food is always good and hot and fresh, and the iced tea is fire.

You know what I wonder? Why is it always exactly two pieces of broccoli with an order of special combination general Tso’s?Trivialities aside, let’s get down to the nitty gritty…. The food is above average, but not the best I’ve ever had. Sauce was good, general tsos chicken was crispy as opposed to some places that serve it more chewy and softer.(SIDE NOTE: I’m not from New York, I’m realizing from reading reviews that’s important to mention)Service was super friendly and incredibly fast. Would eat here again. I have to mention, after eating this meal things REALLY GOT GOING down there….. if you know what I mean….. now, I don’t want to blame this on the food but I have to mention it. You may have some diarrhea. Probably more of a me thing, but again, no stone left unturned in this here review.
