Granted they were busy, I waited nearly 30 minutes to get my food and it came out undercooked and missing items. I tried getting the attention of one of the waitresses for a refill on water and she just sat at one of the tables for another half hour without a care of any of her tables.
The first time I came here, it was a pleasant experience. Won't be back after this time.

I must say this because I have been in the food service industry for 40 years and things have changed a lot. Today there are standards that are essential. One of which is to wear gloves when handling ready to eat food. And to wash your hands frequently. As a chef I am held to a very high standard for the safety of our guests and just common sense. Even back in the day we left a little paper on the straw as to be sure we didnt touch it when presenting it to the guest. The cook never wore gloves and used his hand to wipe off his cutting board not a towel. In fact I didnt even see a towel on his line. Then he handled raw meat and continued wiping his board down with that same hand. Not once did I see him wash his hands The closest he came was to wipe his hands on his apron then commence to cooking and handling food again never having washed his hands. Im not one of those people I mean my immune system is strong but my eyes couldn't take anymore and I was not able to finish food because I totally lost appetite watcthing this cooks horrible practices. Where is the health inspector ? If I did that in my store and HD walked in I would be in serious trouble and fined. I am sure he is a great guy and cook but the sanitary aspect for me is why I will not be coming back.

Cute little breakfast place with an American diner vibe. We went on a Sunday morning- the place was buzzing and one can definitely say they had some regular customers- like everyone knew everyone else! The staff were very down to earth and friendly and the food very homely. For once we were able to order just two pancakes instead of an entire stack, so we ended up wasting none! The eggs and potatoes were just perfect. Above all, the people around made us feel home. And- loved that their menu hasn’t changed much from 1973!

5 stars? I'm not sure because it's hard to judge by an egg sandwich but it was very good and my wife's breakfast was too. We didn't have time to sit so got it to go and decided that we have to make time to go back and eat there.We'll see you again soon!
