Spartan Restaurant and Bar

Spartans is one of my favorite places for food and drinks. First the location is really easy to find, easy from both the highway and going through town in Waterbury. There is pleanty of parking available but be warned as the day goes on this place tends to get really busy in the evening side so parking starts to get very slim pickings during the evening. The building feels very clean, dosent feel dirty one bit. The staff is very friendly and is very good with providing service. Family friendly, has both bar side seating and tables available. They have takeout available as well. Pleanty of TVs in the bar area to have a drink and watch the game. They have pleanty of drink options and make some great mixed drinks. The food here is what is the biggest draw, they make some phenomenal food. I have yet to have anything from them I didnt like, everything is so such good flavor. The portions sizes are great, I never felt it wasent enough for what you pay. I absolutely recommend their Boneless Buffalo Wings to start, that sauce they make is just out of this world. They make awesome Garlic Bread and my wife loves their French Onion Soup. If they happen to be doing corn beef specials when you go I highly recommend their Corn Beef Reuben. Overall, Spartans is a great place wether your grabbing a drink, eating in restaurant, or getting takeout. Would recommend them to anyone going through the Waterbury area wanting a good bite.

I do not enjoy pizza but they looked really good so I decided to try one and I can honestly say I now like pizza. This was the best one I have ever had and I'm genuinely angry I do not live closer to this place. Also the chicken parm was amazing and our server was awesome.

We got a few different meals and nothing we ordered was good. Service wasn’t good. Wasn’t worth the time or money and wouldn’t go back after today. We used to go somewhat often and it was never this bad

Stopped at Spartans while on our way to Maine. Variety of options on the menu. Ordered cheese pizza, buffalo dip, BLT and lasagna with a mozzarella dish for appetizer. Quickly sat but then had to wait for 20 mins to even said hello to at our table. When food finally arrived, we were greeted with large portions. Lasagna was big enough to serve 2. Prices were not ridiculous for size of meals. Buffalo dip was really greasy and bacon on BLT was almost burnt. Glad we tried it, but it was a one and done for us.

Randomly stopped off the highway 8 hours into a 12 hour drive. Solid food for a great price, big portions. Perfect bar and grill fare with some fun extras.

We chose this restaurant since it was close to where we were staying and we were not disappointed. We sat in the dining room since the bar looked busy. The server's name (on the receipt) was Koulla. Very pleasant and professional. The portions were very generous. My wife had the fried shrimp and I had the open faced roast beef dinner. Both were delicious. I could see this being a regular place for us if we lived here.

Typical sports bar. That is not a negative. There is a large menu with many choices. Prices are good. Lots of tvs for sports. A little loud but to be expected. The restaurant is quieter than the bar. Friendly atmosphere.

Have had many different pizzas there & every one was delicious! Staff was attentive & very accommodating. Especially on my visits with a large group.
