Spartan Restaurant and Bar

We stopped at the Spartan on the way home from Lincoln, New Hampshire, it was an easy reach from route 84. My wife and I each had the gyro platter, and it was quite good. The salad that came with it was plentiful, fresh, and delicious. Delicious. The steak fries were nicely done, and the gyro itself was really tasty. The service was prompt and friendly, and I would happily stop here again.

First time in. Sat in bar in midst of football fans which was fine. Ordered the strip steak which was great. Nice cocktail. Split a cheesecake.

DINER STYLE RESTAURANT WITH HORRIBLE FOOD. WE BOTH ORDERED A HAM GRINDER WITH POTATOE SALAD. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TEACH THIS CHEF HOW TO MAkE POTATOE SALAD..IT WAS THE WORST I EVER TASTED IN ALL OF MY LIFE. THE HAM GRINDER WAS SO DRY AND EXTREMELY SALTY. THE WAITRESS DID NOT EVEN OFFER US ANYTHING ELSE. HORRIBLE RESTAURANT, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THE OWNER WALKED AROUND AND SPOKE TO WHO EVER SHE FELT LIKE IT. LIKE THE QUEEN OF SHEBA MAKING MONEY OFF OF A CRAPPY FOOD! NEVER AGAIN! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Was pleasantly surprised. Did not know they had a back room for private parties. Went here for a surpise party, Room has it's own bar room for a DJ & dancing. Definitely a good vibe if your looking for a venue for a gathering. Food was great!

I would highly recommend this restaurant. I had my Birthday party here and the waitress was the best she accomadated me and my guests the entire night. The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was the best so friendly and relaxed. Thanks again Spartan Restaurant for the great service 💯💯💯

Been a client for years, my go to at least once a week, a life saver on those days i arrive late from work and they are the only kitchen open past 9pm in town. Food always amazing, staff is awesome, and the owners are an amazing family to go above and beyond.

What have you done to your pizza?

Servers/bartenders were so dismissive and rude. Server at table couldn’t even look at my group in our eyes and didn’t give us a chance to ask for any drinks at all. Threw everything at the table and just walked away even if we tried calling him. Bad attitude from the bar too anytime we wanted drinks. Never coming back. Also the shrimp was 20

My friends and I have lunch here once a month. We have “special” cups we bring for our tea - which they fill for us with a smile. Our waitress is always Danielle who is just the very best! Food is great and we’ve tried so many different options and have never been disappointed. Service is exceptional- we are there for over 3 hours and not once have they ever asked us to leave! My favorite is the steak sandwich! I plan on bringing my husband here for dinner soon. Highly recommend- you won’t be disappointed!

When we entered the restaurant we saw the sign stating to wait and be seated in our right. When we did we were told to be to the other side of the restaurant with an attitude. There was a private event apparently. Had the sign been moved or a different sign was put up we wouldn't have waited in that area. The food was good and the service was okay.

Spartans is one of my favorite places for food and drinks. First the location is really easy to find, easy from both the highway and going through town in Waterbury. There is pleanty of parking available but be warned as the day goes on this place tends to get really busy in the evening side so parking starts to get very slim pickings during the evening. The building feels very clean, dosent feel dirty one bit. The staff is very friendly and is very good with providing service. Family friendly, has both bar side seating and tables available. They have takeout available as well. Pleanty of TVs in the bar area to have a drink and watch the game. They have pleanty of drink options and make some great mixed drinks. The food here is what is the biggest draw, they make some phenomenal food. I have yet to have anything from them I didnt like, everything is so such good flavor. The portions sizes are great, I never felt it wasent enough for what you pay. I absolutely recommend their Boneless Buffalo Wings to start, that sauce they make is just out of this world. They make awesome Garlic Bread and my wife loves their French Onion Soup. If they happen to be doing corn beef specials when you go I highly recommend their Corn Beef Reuben. Overall, Spartans is a great place wether your grabbing a drink, eating in restaurant, or getting takeout. Would recommend them to anyone going through the Waterbury area wanting a good bite.
