My first visit to The Cave was on Saturday, July 19th. It is a cosy, welcoming bar with nostalgic vibes The bartender, Katie was an excellent dink mixer, she has definitely honed this craft. She was engaging with the customers and very funny, you just wanted to keep talking to her!
I really enjoyed the casual atmosphere, no pretention here, just down to earth good people, relaxing and having a good time.
The bar itself was clean and well maintained.
I also chatted with Freddie, another bartender at The Cave. He happened to be there when I visited. He was as nice as Katie and very knowledgeable about the bar!
I would definitely recommend visiting The Cave if your travels bring you to Waterbury CT. Belly up to the bar, order a drink and have a delightful conversation with Katie or Freddie. I promise, you won't be disappointed, it will be a fun evening!

I was passing through and stopped to try some of the food. The place was packed with orders. Although there wasn’t a ton of guests eating there I saw them working hard with many to-go orders. Our food took probably 20 min which wasn’t bad. It was very tasty and I loved the Salsa Bar!!! What a great idea and allowed the opportunity to try so many flavors! My only comment would be to lighten up on the cilantro. There was an extreme amount of cilantro on my tacos. One taco has enough cilantro for like 5 tacos worth. I would definitely go back and try more items. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Oh, and the Jamaica juice was ?? perfection
Best tacos around near my office and always good lunch. my favorite is the carnitas with pineapple El Pastor always freshly made and i have enjoyed the fresh fruit drinks they serve always friendly and consistent good food been going there for years now.
