Whooster Pizza & Restaurant

We were at the Waterbury location for less than 40 minutes. We reserved the table for 1 pm. We ordered 2 large pizzas and a pitcher of soda. The bill was $46.69 (not a problem) pizza was so so. The issue is the restaurant took more money from my account than what the receipt says was owed. I tipped the waiter $5.31on the card and $5 on the table. We leave and I get the ping on my phone that I was charged $56.03. This is a card that we use for family enjoyment moments. So for safety reasons we add money to this card right before we use it to keep track of spending and prevent fraud (so we thought). I waited 24 hours to see if the transaction would be fixed and it wasn’t. I called the restaurant and asked for the manager. The lady that answered the phone was hesitant and said she is the front end manager and asked how could she help me (this is the lady who stole the money) I will withhold her name. I said I have an issue and would like to speak with a manager. She kept asking questions. I answered some and then I said I really would like the manager. She says the manager is not here. I ask when will he be there. She says “he’s in and out with no specific time” I ask what is his name she responds “I’m not comfortable giving out his information” hold on. She puts the phone down and tells some guy she’s trying to help me but I won’t let her help me. Which is true to a certain point because she is the one that did the transaction. Anyway this guy “Joe” does the same thing the lady does. Apparently the boss’s name is a big secret. He says I’m the son how can I help you. I say I have an issue and I would like to speak with the owner. I do not want the lady to help me I would like the owners name and a time to best reach him. Joe says he isn’t going to provide his father’s information because he doesn’t know who I am or what I want.I provide some information but he still refuses to give me the name. I bet (I’m not a betting woman) if I said I wanted to tell the owner a good story they would not have had a problem. All this to just say be aware of how much they charge your card. I don’t mind tipping but don’t take from me and think it will not be noticed is crazy. This lady didn’t have to do anything but bring the pizzas and the pitcher of Soda. We sat for less than 30 minutes cleared the table and stacked our own plates. I dont get it!

I love their food, especially their grilled chicken pesto pizza, hot tuna grinders and their pasta dinners!

We ordered two pizzas delivered. The bottom of one was black/burnt. That's what it tasted like. Other pizza was perfect.

Whooster's food is appreciated by many ,but the Chicken Cacciatore is now my favorite dish.This meal deserves 6 stars.

I ordered the seafood alfredo pasta.... and omg!!! it was great!! saucy, the seafood was fresh and it was well seasoned! 10/10!!

On February 1, 2023 myself, and a friend had lunch at Wooster Pizza, but our lunch meals were delectable, and our server Pam was amazing very courteous, and she deserves 5 stars.

My wife and I went here on Christmas Eve for dinner. We walked in to the waitress complaining about management scheduling and lack of people working. However still instructed us to sit where we were ignored and unable to place an order for 25 minutes to a half hour. She did get our Pepsis to the table in shortly after arriving but never came back. My wife and I left cash for our sodas with a $6.00 tip and proceeded to leave. At which time the waitress grabbed me and asked us to stay. We graciously declined and wished her a well holiday as we left. Will not be going back.

Used to be great I’ve been coming here for well over 5 years but now the service is terrible, the new workers are extremely rude, and the food is gross. It’s sad to see what once was a great place go down hill. In the past would justify ordering here just to support a local business, but after my last couple experiences i will never return
