Brooke did a fantastic job informing, advising, and showing me all of the features and options for glasses I could purchase as well as the insurance and warranty. I got there a little after 5 and Brooke took her time explaining everything to me and even stayed till after they close around 6:20 when they close at 6. She said they could be flexible with where I can pick up the glasses since I live halfway between the Waterford and Coventry BJ's and she said I could get them repaired at either BJ's as well. She went above and beyond with her customer service!! It took a week and a day for the glasses to come in which I consider very quick. I am very excited to pick up my two new pairs of glasses in the next few days!!

I have been a member on and off at BJ's in Waterford for years. Over the past year I have been consistently disappointed with the store. Empty shelves, dirty store, lack of informed staff for help. I now have a membership at Costco in East Lyme. I kept both memberships active so I could compare prices and shopping experiences... Costco wins on all counts! Do yourself a favor and dump BJ's for Costco until BJ's becomes a better store.

this used to be my go-to store for the last 16 years. since the pandemic they have been out of everything. I think the very least they could have done for their customers was to extend their membership since I am paying to be a member with empty shelves

carts are not being washed down prior when you walk in somebody asks you if you want it washed down and all you get is one swipe of the bar that you hold onto

Do not go to BJ’s in Waterford, CT during Covid-19. Nothing to wipe carts down with, nobody to help. Went to self check out and the screen was visibly dirty. Employees standing around but not cleaning between customers. Noticed there were Clorox wipes and disinfectant spray at each register but nothing for members to use. Was told by the manager they don’t have the manpower to clean between customers when clearly, they do. Literally everywhere else is working to flatten the curve except BJ’s Waterford!!

I have had three for consecutive bad experiences at BJ’s recently, plus a couple of frustrating ones. The three negative all have to do with their “special” purchases that are supposed to lead to $.25 per gallon savings on their gas. Either the promotional items weren’t clearly marked and I got to the cash register only to discover my purchases weren’t eligible for the gas discount.
