Fantastic food, calamari was different but phenomenal. Highly recommend. Slade was the man as well
Great interesting food. We had appetizers. Clam and bacon pizza and fish soup.
Lunch was very good, we stopped in on a rainy day and we're warmly greated at the bar. I ordered a chicken wing special and a order of meatball and ricotta and they were both delicious. Our bartender was very attentive, there was never a empty glass or dirty plate left in front of us. I will for sure be back on a day with good weather
We decided to celebrate our engagement 💍 here, the calamari was done to perfection 👌 with just the right amount of lemon. We then had some kind of seafood dish with sherry and cream sauce 😋 oh my heavens! We finished with the Matilda cake and cheesecake, thank you to our waiter and the lovely couple behind us 😘 ❤️ who were so happy they bought our drinks 🍸 what a night!!! I can hardly wait for our next visit. Three thumbs up
The food was amazing. The clam chowder was perfect as was the quahogs. The lobster roll was outstanding as was the fries. The crunch & whatever seasoning they used - outstanding. Our server was Brian who was very attentive & made our experiense wonderful. I cannot wait to go back again.
Totally awesome lunch experience! Great food. Great staff. Great atmosphere.
Can wait to come back.
very cosy, nice waterviews, and really good boullabaise
What a fabulous place to have a great lunch with a view. I had a special seafood quiche which was filled with spinach, shrimp and scallops, topped with an excellent sauce, with a side of fresh fruit. The price was right and Angelina took great care of us. Can't wait to go again.

First of all I have visited here twice since moving to the area in February. What a great spot for the summer and who ever owns it put a lot of money in this place. Incredible patio and the place is clean. See in the kitchen everything looks well taken care of and it spoke as the food was great. On Wednesday 10/23 I went to another Niantic restaurant for the first time and was disappointed with the food and the dessert selection was pies and no espresso coffee. We wanted cappuccino’s and dessert so we came in again just before they closed. Pumpkin bread pudding was killer and not only did we get two great cappuccinos a server or bartender we had before stopped over to say hello. Name was Brian. He came over and heard we had a hard time finding cappuccinos this time of night on main street. No skipping steps before close at this place. They took care of us and I will not forge it.

This is the second time dining here. Both experiences were awesome!
I got one of the specials, a Cajun chicken sandwich, and Stacy got the blackened fish sandwich.
They were both very good, as were the fries and coleslaw. Bad coleslaw can be a deal breaker for me.
We also got a half dozen oysters but we dug into those before I thought to get a pic. They are from a local business Niantic bay shellfish farm. They were very good. Nice and sweet. Look
It was a bit busy, we sat at the bar which filled up quickly. Brian never broke stride, he was friendly and attentive.
We have a boat in a local marina and I think thus us our new "go to" place!

I sent the restaurant an email explain why my review was so low and unfortunately they never even responded to me!
I was so excited to try Fat Tuna because I am a big fan of seafood restaurants and we went for my boyfriends birthday. The food came out super fast BUT the potatoes in the chowder were not cooked all the way and the fish/calamari we extremely oily which caused us both to end up with a belly ache.

Too expensive
We enjoyed this place very much. We loved the cheerful, casual service. Our server, Brian, was a treat to deal with. Oysters seemed super-fresh and were dressed nicely. Jalapeno poppers showed up with unexpected marmalade on the side that worked surprisingly well. Tony D's calamari got a tiny bit soggy from the dressing after sitting a while, but was real tasty, and it's a big serving. I almost dropped the "atmosphere" rating a star, because they had a patio door hanging open for fresh air, and that let in an annoying crowd of flies. Batting flies away from your dinner is never pleasant.
