Trés Casual, waterside shack with the usual offerings, outdoor seating, and a tent. Easy and fun.

Not impressed, went there 1st time yesterday, a few clam strips on a pile of french fries, so hope you like paying 20.40 dollars for that!

I went there yesterday for the first time and it was excellent. The staff was kind and the food was exactly as I expected it. For such a small place, I was pleasantly surprised at how many items were on the menu. My wife had the hot lobster roll and I had a cheeseburger and oysters. The burger and lobster were delicious, both items cooked perfectly. Oysters were great as well. And we loved the environment, nice view of the water and boats passing by. 100% will return.

We used to love this place. Last several visits they ran out of corn and red potatoes, up charged for alternatives and had loong delays. Something has changed in the kitchen not for the better.

I am writing this to warn the public about my experience at The Deck, same owner, different restaurant. On 08/09, I was racially profiled, physically assaulted (I have picture proof of my injuries), harassed, and hate-crimed on their premises. When I returned to request the security footage to document what happened, management refused to release it unless I involved the police.

Considering the discrimination I endured here, why would I feel safe involving law enforcement — especially when the restaurant has already denied me the footage I need to protect myself? Instead of showing basic decency and cooperation, employees hung up on me during follow-up calls. One even told me, “I’m Black, so I doubt what you’re saying is true,” dismissing my experience entirely. (That convo with the ‘black’ employee was between 7pm to 8pm on 08/12/2025)

This is not how any ethical business should treat a customer who has been harmed on their property. If they continue to withhold the footage, I will have no choice but to share my full story publicly across multiple platforms and invite others to do the same. The truth will speak for itself, and it will reflect exactly how badly this corporation handles serious incidents.

If you care about fairness, respect, and safety, think twice before giving your money to this establishment.

I grew up in Niantic and later moved to Florida, like the rest of the tri-state area. However, whenever I return, visiting this place is always on my list. It offers one of the top five lobster 🦞 rolls in the Waterford/Niantic area! It's a classic New England seaside must-visit!

If you’re looking for a classic New England dockside seafood experience, The Dock in Waterford delivers across the board. The waterfront setting is exactly what you’d want from a coastal eatery—overlooking a peaceful marina with direct views of moored boats and the Niantic Bridge. The atmosphere is relaxed but vibrant, perfect for a summer afternoon meal.

The fried clam strips basket was a standout. Generously portioned, crispy, and well-seasoned, they paired nicely with the side of golden fries, lemon wedge, and house tartar sauce. Everything was served hot and fresh, with multiple dipping sauces available at the table. Seating is casual but comfortable, with umbrellas providing good shade

There once was a restaurant called The Dock,
Where seafood so fresh, was the talk.
With clams, shrimp, and cod,
It was favored by God,
And praised from each culinary block.
