Chill vibes and cold drinks and book bans. There is nothing appealing about hosting anti government hate groups, it's not something I seek out nor do I want to support a restaurant that supports this. All that and the food has been mediocre at best. Not appetizing. I'll pass .

Great food and service. Mark their bartender is awesome. Highly recommend. They have the best French Onion Soup.

I went here for an event I found on Eventbrite, and I don't normally think it's fair reviewing places outside the normal dining experience. But right now I think I've seen enough to know I don't want to go back to Sunset Grille. It's very pretty driving in, with the restaurant over a body of water. The lights reflect nicely. Parking isn't too bad, it has two levels and nothing but the furthest point back is "too far". Then I went inside. The event was a Murder Mystery Dinner, as named in the Eventbrite. It described a fun event, you and your friends can be detectives! I was attending the event by myself, which the hostess immediately reiterated. "And you're attending ALONE...." This may have been less annoying if not proceeded by emails reinforcing that I was, in fact, attending alone. Am I the only person who maybe doesn't need this pointed out to them all the time? Anyway, the dining room is about 2/3 tables, and 1/3 the bar. The bar is shaped like a U. I, and the other bar attendees, were seated on the far side of the U. This means for much of the show, we could literally not have been further away. There spaces closer to the tables was being taken up by people who weren't officially attending the murder mystery. There was no waitress, the bartender professed not to know what was going on, and eventually I went to the buffet. It was your basic wedding food for a budget - Cesar salad, broccoli, potatoes, spaghetti, chicken piccata, and a fatty New York strip. The flavor and cook was okay, but nothing memorable. Even though collaborating at a bar in a straight line is incredibly difficult, we did band together as a team and were able to submit a guess. We were wrong, but a good time was had by all, and it seemed like the evening was coming to a successful end. This is when the bartender decided to inform us the ticket I already bought for the murder mystery DINNER did not cover the dinner. That was an extra $32.25. I bought a ticket for a DINNER, and was forced to pay out an extra $32.25 that was never disclosed ONCE. All they needed was a sign at the beginning of the buffet with the cost, and I would have been able to make an informed decision. In summation, non-existent communication and over priced food. If you're going to a special event, DO NOT SIT AT THE BAR. Demand a table.

We had our Company Christmas party there and it's a really nice place. Very clean great staff, very accommodating with any requests and in a very timely manner. Would recommend as a place to go to enjoy a night away...

We've dined here several times in recent years and have noticed an overall decline in food and service quality. Unless sitting on the deck overlooking the lawn & pond, there is little atmosphere. The dining room looks like a rustic banquet hall. If just seeking dinner, avoid the place when there is entertainment as the deck seating cover charge is ridiculously high.

Sunset Grille hosted our baby shower of around 60 guests and they did an amazing job. The food was fantastic, the venue was beautiful, and Kathy did a wonderful job planning the event. I would definitely have another event there in the future. Thank you Sunset Grille for doing such a wonderful job!!

We went to dinner after a nice afternoon of boating on Saturday 9/2/23 around 7:30 pm. Myself, my wife, our 3 daughters as well as a friend and her daughter were in attendance. There was a private party going on to the left of the entrance. The guests were rude and drunk making comments about children being in there. Since the cake and cookies were out in the open for this private party, one of our neurodiverse children grabbed a cookie not realizing it was for a private party. (Perhaps the treats should be blocked off next time). Kathy, the very rude manager, yelled at the child we were with in disgust, after I had already told the child that those were for a private party. Perhaps Kathy needs education on kindness, acceptance, and neurodiverse children. We used to love Sunset Grille in Watertown, but we will never be back. We have also kindly spread the word to everyone we know (which is a lot of people!).

Sunset is a great place to go for a bite and a beer to forget about the shank fest of golf that you just played! From staff to ownership, everyone there is very friendly and hospitable. I was there for the Kentucky Derby and the owner, Steve, gave my girlfriend a racing slip! Her horse came in dead last (May have been sent to the glue factory) but we had a blast nonetheless!Highly recommend the burgers!

This Sunday, we hosted one of my friends bridal showers at Sunset Grille. This was our first time going there, so I didn't exactly know what to expect since we didn't book it. When you drive in there are a couple little turns that you could go off but drive past the water then go all the way up to the back and then loop down to the restaurant. The parking lot was full of people getting ready to go golf so I imagine that the bar contend to get full in the afternoon. We used half of the room and it was plenty space for the 28 people we had. They were very accommodating and willing to set up tables and get anything we needed. Everything was set up on time and professionally. We had a Buffet style lunch. We kept the food simple with chicken, marsala, meatballs, pasta with sauce, roasted potatoes, green beans, salad, and bread. Everything was very delicious. The view is beautiful and we loved the large the windows and the porch. We definitely would recommend hosting an event here.

Recently had my daughters baby shower at Sunset. Working with Cathy was a blessing. She handled everything from start to finish. She is very professional and her attention to detail was displayed on our special day. Kudos to Chef and his team for creating such amazing food. The Shrimp Risotto was to die for. The guests did not go home hungry. Also the girls that worked that day are top notch. I couldn’t ask for more. Truly a beautiful day!! Thank you Cathy and her team for everything you did to make it memorable!!
