Artisan Restaurant West Hartford

We had a wonderful meal with family. Service was very friendly and capable, and the food was outstanding. Highlights included the scallops (wonderfully prepared) and swordfish steak (a very nice, thick cut - cooked perfectly). We dined on the heated enclosed porch, which was plenty toasty on a cool November evening.

We had a phenomenal meal at Artisan! The service was wonderful! The ambiance was stunning! Table was comfortable. We had the salmon, bolognese with fresh tagliatelle, pasta and fresh marinara for our granddaughter! Every dish was beautifully plated and delicious! We will go back again!

I met my daughter there for brunch for my birthday, we both had the crêpe which was amazing. The service was lovely. There was live music in the bar, which was nice because it wasn't too loud in the restaurant side. Would definitely go back!

It is nice to order from a freshly composed daily menu instead of a menu that is months old. It shows that the chef is creative and dedicated to his or her profession

First time going, and we’ll 1000% be back. The patio area is awesome. Nice lighting. All of the food was beyond expectations and there’s so many other dishes I want to try. Very reasonably priced for the quality. The staff were exceptional and the waiter was very friendly and helpful.

I called ahead to pay for a dinner, server messed up the tables and charged 2 grand to my card. They voided the transaction but that doesn’t change the fact that this is unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to be ‘Artisan’.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we were celebrating my husband‘s birthday. I mentioned that in the reservation. After being seated, we noticed that the table next to us was receiving a birthday card. The woman said to me it's not my birthday and I said oh it's my husband‘s birthday so she handed over the card. We tried the artisan choice for a drink and after the third try, I gave up and watered down my drink. I thought it was a great concept, but it was an epic fail. When the waitress asked me how that drink was I just said it's OK and left it at that. It was a Saturday evening and our waitress seemed to be the only person on our side of the restaurant. She was very pleasant and seemed to be handling it well. After having a couple of bad drinks, I didn't wanna say anything about the food. I actually felt bad for the waitress. I ordered the chicken dish and it was extremely dry, the brussel sprouts were undercooked, and the portions were really small. I had high hopes after reading the reviews it was a big disappointment.

Artisan is our preferred dining establishment, and each time my husband and I visit, it is a wonderful experience. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is remarkable, and the staff is exceptional. We consistently return.

Greeting carries calm New England grace and charm

Celebrated a birthday at Artisan. We all enjoyed our appetizers, meals and desserts. Our server Victoria was attentive and helpful with our selections. Supporting staff members made sure our water glasses were full, brought out the dishes and cleared in a timely manner. Artisan has been a sure bet for a lovely evening out.

We enjoyed a great meal here. Georgia our server was excellent, the food was very good, although my pasta bolognese entree was on the small side, but the vegan pasta was excellent! All in all a great experience.

Decor highlights classic style with soft modern finishes

Wait staff was the best part, I attended Artisan for a birthday and they went the extra mile to make sure it went well. We got a little card, little free desert, and even an appetizer taken off the bill after we both tried it and didn't like it. We didn't complain or even ask for something else, they noticed it was untouched and said they would take care of it for us. Awesome experience and will absolutely be dining here again.

Very slow service. Small portions. Waited over an hour for our food, drinks were brought out 1 at a time. Extremely disappointed!
