This was my second visit to Kaliubon and I was in for a pleasant surprise. They have a Truffle Shoyu Ramen on the menu that I was interested in trying. My only reluctance was that other restaurants tend to use so much truffle oil in their recipes that you taste nothing else.
Not here! The truffle flavor was perfectly subtle, always present but not overpowering compared to the shoyu broth as a whole. I'm glad the chefs at Kaliubon know the importance of careful management of bold flavors like truffle. I think the egg got the greatest benefit, the taste of truffle mingling nicely with the shoyu and onion. The yolk was the type of silky creaminess you dream of in a ramen egg.
Other great notes during my visit: my food arrived incredibly fast, and all the staff were polite and welcoming. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

We tried several items from their menu and all of them were perfectly made! We tried ramen in many places throughout the US, Canada and other parts of the world and by far Kaliubon’s ramen is THE BEST! It’s a must visit place for all ramen lovers or first timers! Beware, after trying their ramen, you might not like any other place’s ramen ever!

Came here for lunch with my mom on a Friday. Restaurant was not too busy and got seated right away. They do have lunch special menu, which basically lets you choose a ramen or poke bowl and pair it with a small appetizer for $18. We ordered the Tonkotsu and Miso ramen, paired with a pork bao and brussels sprout salad. The ramen soup base is light, but do give out the aroma of the ingredients. The katsu (pork belly) was moist and delicious. The pork bao is ok and could use a little bit more seasoning. The brussels sprout salad is spot on. It is crunchy, acidic and a hint of spiciness.

Fantastic experience and food, the staff were so friendly and polite and our waitress helped with recommendations. She suggested their limited seasonal lobster ramen that was absolutely INCREDIBLE! I really enjoyed the bubble tea and fruit ice cream dessert, as well! Definitely will be returning here!

Food was very good, I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and I was amazing, my server was also very nice. However one of the managers, I think his name was Carlos was being incredibly off puting to some of the women in the restaurant and it ruined most of the experience having to listen to these conversations while trying to eat. Otherwise great place.

The menu is expansive, and has a wide selection of ramen dishes, sushi, drinks (including boba teas), and specials. It was easy for me to hone in on the dish I wanted: the shoyu truffle ramen. The broth was so flavorful! When I first received the dish, I realized I hadn’t read that there was going to be pork belly in it. The very charismatic and empathic manager expeditiously took the dish back and had the chefs prepare a new dish without pork. I overheard him explain and ask for the dish made entirely anew (not just taking the pork belly out like most restaurants might do).

Just opened their new location at Blue Back Square in West Hartford. I ordered the Angry Tebboki (regular and garlic) Very good..Can't wait to try the other menu items.
I recently ordered takeout from Kaliubon Ramen & Sushi, and it completely exceeded my expectations. We tried six different ramens $18 each: Beef Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, Kaliubon Ramen, Miso Ramen, Wonton Ramen, and the unique Truffle Shoyu Ramen , plus a selection of sushi.
Every single dish was packed with flavour, beautifully presented (even for takeout!), and tasted like it was made with care and high-quality ingredients. Each ramen had its own distinct broth and toppings, rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. The Truffle Shoyu was incredibly aromatic, and the Wonton and Miso Ramen were standouts too! Kaliubon Ramen, spicy, rich and full of flavour is my favourite.
The sushi was fresh and just as delicious as the ramen. You can really tell that the chefs here take pride in their work. On top of the amazing food, the service was fast, friendly, and professional. My order was perfectly packed and ready on time, and still hot and fresh when I got home.
Kaliubon has officially become one of my favourite spots for ramen in the area. Whether you’re dining in or doing takeout, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend and can’t wait to order again!

As soon as you walk in you are greeted by excellent service. The host that sat us was energetic and friendly. Our waitress was very helpful with the menu and they accommodated our dietary restrictions. The good was amazing. Easily the best ramen place around. The environment is awesome, the lighting is very cool, and there was anime playing on a TV. By far the coolest restaurant I been to in a while. I will deffinetly be coming back again.

I order from here every week, and the food never disappoints! The ramen with rice noodles is absolutely amazing- hands down the best I’ve had. I’ve tried every ramen spot in the area, and nothing compares. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I stopped in for a quick meal. The food was excellent and our the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Edamame was a particular highlight.
The root of my overall poor review comes from the conduct of the manager, Carlos. He behaved with extreme unprofessionalism and made both myself and my girlfriend quite uncomfortable with his, frankly, creepy comportment and leering. It’s a shame that our otherwise pleasant experience was marred by this behavior. I would not be surprised if he has made other young women similarly put off by his fawning.
For this reason alone, we won’t be back.

GET HERE, A WELL DESERVED 5 STAR STATUS IMO. The wife & I came here hung over at 1130am as they just opened up. We needed quality meals for dinner tonight as we both were not cooking and love ramen, Japanese, Vuernamese, whatever we love ramen. Stopped here on our way home of out state. Service was next level excellent. Offering specials and tasty choices. We chose the Miso ramen, Pork belly tonkatsu & 3stooges sushi. Ramen broth tasty, pork so tender, everything just great flavor with every bite we took. Ahh just we love this place. Owners and employees should mighty proud of this fine establishment. Bravo. We cant wait til the next time.

The ramen was great. Good sized portion and very tasty. They accommodated my dietary request perfectly. The place is very unassuming, a bit cramped and because it is very popular it can get uncomfortable. The dumplings were also very flavorful.
