I fly to West Hartford every weekend just to eat at Kitchen Plate. I live in North Carolina, and yet somehow this has become the most logical decision of my life—because once you’ve eaten here, nothing else compares.
Kitchen Plate isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. From the moment the food hits the table, you can tell everything is made with care, intention, and an unreal level of skill. The flavors are bold but balanced, comforting but exciting, and consistently unforgettable. No matter what I order, it somehow ends up being the best thing I’ve eaten all week—every week.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the chef. He is, without exaggeration, my favorite chef ever. Watching someone put this much passion and pride into their craft is rare, and you can taste it in every single bite. The food feels personal, like it was made specifically for you. There’s creativity, heart, and serious talent behind every dish, and it shows.
I’ve eaten at plenty of great spots, but Kitchen Plate is the only place that has made me plan flights around a meal. That’s not a joke or an exaggeration—it’s just that good. If you live nearby, don’t take it for granted. And if you don’t? Trust me, it’s worth the trip.

Me and some babe walked in same time. Once i saw the pastries, she no longer existed. Got the gyro which was huge + came with fries. Nice egyptian fellow and i chatted how my family from Cyprus near Eqypt and mentioned Dolmades on the menu. I sat to eat and he brought two for me to try which were ON POINT. Very good eats and went back to work happy
