I stopped by at this place to grab a lox and bagel on my way back home, but unfortunately, my experience was a disappointment from start to finish. The bagel barely had any lox on it, and what was there was cold. To make matters worse, the service was rushed and unfriendly, even though we arrived 15 minutes before closing time. The staff seemed to be in a bad mood, and it showed in their attitude. Overall, I was looking forward to a satisfying breakfast/lunch, but instead, I left feeling let down. Considering the high standards I expect from this bagel shop, I won't be returning anytime soon. Also, I would recommend the manager to re train their staff and check the lox bagel place in Fairfield. They know how to make a lox bagel this was a joke.

Every single time I go to this place when I'm visiting from California something is not great about my order. This time they had more cream cheese on the plate than the sandwich and you can tell by the way they haphazardly place ingredients they could care less. They also cut the bagel before they put the cc on so when you open the sandwich and take half ALL the toppings come out of both halves...not sure what to say about that except a distinct lack of common sense... Last time a few weeks when I was here they charged me for an item I ordered (to go) but neglected to put it in the bag.

Been coming here for many years, and I love the bagels and the lunch sandwiches, do not understand the reviews saying the bagels are trash. I've gotten bagels 10 minutes before close and they were still perfect and fresh. Also random but I love their pickles lol. The breakfast sandwiches are tasty but could definitely be improved if they got a grill instead of microwaving everything, so don't expect a spectacular bacon egg n cheese here (go across town to goldbergs for that, although I don't think their bagels are as good personally).As others have said though, unfortunately most of the staff seems very unhappy to be there. Even the ones that aren't snippy or rude are still not what I would call friendly. There's never any smiling going on in there, even with each other it seems. Makes me wonder what the working conditions are like. I've seen the owner in there multiple times and he is also very glum looking. Never seen him make eye contact or smile at his customers OR his employees. Seems like that attitude is trickling down to his whole staff, at least that's how it looks to an outsider.Despite this, I still go there as often as I can so you know the bagels are good lol. But it would be nice if the staff was friendlier. Also wish the place was open a bit later.
I have not been in this place in a while, and as was around the area I figure I would give it a try. It is a different type of bagel, very soft, which I actually enjoyed. I like my bagels soft in the inside and crunchier in the outside. This was actually a nice change. I had a egg ham and cheese and after finishing, I just grabbed a plain bagel and to eat as it was pretty good. I am knocking a star because the service could be a bit slow abd the lines could get crazy. I wouldn't necessarily wait for 15 min for it but at the right time w a short line, you can't miss.

one of the girls working was quite rude. There was nobody else in the ordering and she did not want to give us the time to order. We just wanted to browse the menu for a bit. When we asked to add something to one of the sandwiches she seemed very displeased. Also our bagels were not made how we wanted them, it seemed as though we were being rushed to leave. Probably will not come back after this, very sad used to love this place.
