Food is good but service is not. Last two visits they have messed up our order. First time I clearly asked for no onions , and I still received onions on my burger. This time, we had received the wrong side with the burger. Instead of letting us keep it, the server took it which we found to be weird. Also, servers take long time to come check on you. Waited at least 10 mins after finished with meal to be checked on. Disappointed they are consistently messing up simple things.

Max Burger is a good solid choice for burgers and salads. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting and the staff friendly and accommodating.
The food is quite good with a nice selection of burgers along with protein alternatives like tuna and turkey. They also have vegan options should that be your jam. Salads a good but they have slowly gotten smaller over time. One can assume this is to keep profit margins solid. What is nice is they source from many local suppliers.
They offer a decent selection of drafts as well cocktails and NA selections.
When in the mood for a good burger add this option to your list.

We ordered takedown out twice. The second time we ordered salads and a margarita. The salad dressing doe both were fine, not great. We ordered two different salads. The balsamic had way too much vinegar. The margarita serving was a couple of sips, literally. And it took a long time to get those few sips! Not sure we'll go again.

I love going to this restaurant when I'm back visiting Connecticut. The Gluten-free burger and sweet potato fries are delicious. They serve their ice tea is a cute little pitcher. The staff is professional, friendly and a nestolgic atmosphere that feels like home. They have an outdoor patio in the summer which is nice.

I have to be honest was the best burger and fries that I've had in Connecticut. It's hard to describe how the burger was + honestly I forgot the one that I chose, but I can't imagine any other burgers being bad

Came from out of town and stopped here with my cousin. He lives nearby. Had a hamburger and we both had tomato soup which was delicious. Hamburger was awesome, tasted just like it. Smelled. Had french fries with it. He had some kind of salad with his chicken burger. Which she said was the best he ever had. It was so crunchy. Buttermilk. Anyway, I would definitely suggest it. People were friendly. Price is reasonable.

This is probably the best burger I've ever had. The reason I gave it a 3 star atmosphere instead of a higher mark is because they did not change any of their channels to a football game when it was prime time Sunday. I did ask to be near a TV to watch a game but ended up putting me in front of highlight reals, not a game. Still if you are wanting a great burger you can never go wrong with an American classic, medium rare.
