We've been here many times- this meal was exceptional. My Chilean Sea Bass was the best I've ever had - seriously! Although mainly a seafood restaurant my husband ordered the 8oz filet and that also was just amazing - he allowed me to sample it . The noise level was energetic as there was a Kentucky Derby party at the bar this Saturday evening but it was fun to the see all the people and the women's fancy hats.

I picked up my sister at Bradley. She flew from California, and took her straight to Max's Oyster Bar. We ordered a few starters and each had an entree. Every morsel was delicious! We had raw oysters and the Asian calamari salad (listed with the raw bar items). She had scallops and I had fried oysters. I love this restaurant!

We went for our anniversary and a card was given to us by the restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. I had the specials, lobster bisque soup, Martha's Vineyard Bay Scallops, and carrot cake. My husband had scallops crudo and fresh oyster to start, pan roast lobster which is one of their most popular entrees and the chocolate truffle beignets. Drinks were excellent as well, spicy margarita and expresso martini. I highly recommend this restaurant as they never disappoint!

The food was excellent, especially the lobster and paella. The menu was extensive and varied. It was a birthday celebration and we were greeted with a birthday card! The restaurant was packed and very noisy - good for business but unpleasant for us. We had requested a corner table when we made the reservation in order to minimize the noise but when we arrived (early! 5:30 on a Saturday night), none was available, so conversation was difficult. Service was excellent. I'd go back, but not on a Saturday night.

Great anniversary dinner! Fresh and delicious salad/entrees and drinks/coffees. Restaurant even gave us anniversary card and complimentary champagne to cap off the evening. Also enjoyed gelato and sorbet for dessert. Excellent service too!

Jaden was our waitress & she was very helpful answering our questions - she was also cognizant of the fact we weren't in a particular hurry for the courses to be rushed - options for indoor or outdoor seating - food is excellent so no matter where you sit, you'll enjoy this restaurant
I was in CT for a retreat, wanted fresh oysters. LSS, we went to Max's, and had a wonderful time. The oysters were magnificent and the scallops- risotto was absolutely delicious, and our waitress was so charming and delightful. We are already planning a, "day trip" to go back! Disappointing dinner relative to those we've had in the past. Server appeared to be relatively inexperienced - she wasn't very good. Slow to take drink orders and deliver appetizers. Entrees weren't delivered all at same time. Messed up our dessert order. Was an extremely slow and protracted dinner for a Weds evening. We were all disappointed with our visit.

Beware being sat near tables of 4 to 6 "gentlemen" during after work hours. Apparently growing up, they didn't have adults that taught them to use their restaurant voice.
