This was a regular haunt for us, but things have changed a bit. Our last visit was a disappointment.First, my martini was not filled to the top. But ok. That's healthy for me.But I ordered mussels. They were skimpy in portion and cold and the first one I ate was off. They kindly replaced it with a "jumbo" crab cake. Unfortunately I am not sure what a non-jumbo cake was, since the jumbo was only about the size of two oreo cookies stacked on top of each other.Also had oysters. Which were very expensive.So, not sure we will come back here for a while.

If you love fresh seafood dishes prepared well and a great bloody mary, this is the place. I like a lot of horseradish in my bloody marys and that is what you will find here. They know how to treat gueats, they willingly split our salad and our entree.

Great atmosphere and a perfect spot for date nights and intimate birthday celebrations. Max Oyster Bar is classy, delicious and a local favorite. Fresh oysters, impressive fish dishes, and beautiful presentation! Don't skip dessert. OH SO YUMMY!
