I love coming here because of the taste of the icecream but the service is unacceptable. Painfully slow even with 3 employees, while most of them are just fooling around. Do better in terms of services, especially because of the price!
Edit: I wrote this initial review while waiting for my icecream, I waited with my boyfriend while we watched other customers who came after that get their food. I was fed up just to find out that the ticket wasn’t even looked at, and for employees to laugh when I asked where my icecream was. Not even a real apology was given literally insane for the price of the icecream

Excellent service and the waffle cones are off the chain

Excellent ice cream, brutal service. Barely an acknowledgment from the counter staff (3 of them), painfully slow order prep, tables were filthy, floor was littered with napkins, but enough down time to bs among themselves. Despite the reputation it was a disappointing visit. Do better, Milkcraft.

2 children and 4 adults went to the shop on Sun12th Oct and with hardly any customers in the shop waiting over 45 mins to be served. This appears to be due to the assistant burning the waffle cones he was making and then proceeding to clean it off with a knife while ignoring our party and those waiting to be given their orders.
had it not been for the kids we would have walked out earlier, but they wanted specific ice creams.
Owner needs to get better staff and train them accordingly. We will not be returning.

The girl worker with braids and crooked teeth is extremely rude. She gave attitude, got my order wrong and didn’t give a receipt either. And said they only add certain toppings “if they feel like it” even though I’ve been ordering the same thing for years. It’s like the location has no management at all and they just hire anyone and have them start working without proper training.

Milk Craft is NOT the same since they stopped making it in the mixers to order. Not as flavorful or creamy. Very disappointing. 😔.

The milkshake my daughter got was good. We also got two ice creams, they were just ok. The bourbon breakfast tastes like straight alcohol so we took one bite and couldn’t finish it. Not what we were expecting at all.

Went to my local milk craft with my friends after a lovely day and it was ruined by the cashier. She made snarky comments, rolled her eyes, and shook her head. Overall she ruined my day and the ice cream wasn’t even that good.

Try the vanilla, I know, sounds boring... but so perfect.

This location sucks save yourself the frustration and go to New Haven milk craft instead.

Milkcraft is such a fun and delicious spot for ice cream! The strawberry flavor was really good — fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The presentation makes it extra special, and you can tell the ice cream is made with care. A perfect place to treat yourself to something unique and tasty. Highly recommend!

What happened to Milkcraft - WeHa? A large part of the Milkcraft experience is to watch the making of ice cream counter side with liquid nitrogen. This experience is completely gone at Milkcraft West Hartford; even the plumbing for the nitrogen is gone from front of store. Ice cream comes out premade from the back. I’m shocked they even still make bubble cones in store and not ship everything in from Fairfield. The serving size was also halved of what it was in the past. It used to take me half my commute home to finish the bubble cone, but now it’s finished on the walk to the car. What happened? Next, the appearance and cleanliness of the store is a far cry from what was experienced when the store first opened and what is expected at an upscale ice cream shop. Boxes on the counter, supplies on racks, power cords frayed, freezer cracked, and an electronic menu taped over instead of fixed or edited appropriately are just a few of the items I noticed in less than 3 minutes inside the store. What happened to dry good storage containers with toppings or add-ins on a designer shelf instead of an open box of cereal on a counter top or a bakers rack with stacks of supplies in the front end instead of in a back storage area. Glass was loose and in danger of falling off the counter, used trash boxes were on the counter right next to the pickup, and a mixer clearly had a frayed power cord sitting on the counter. And what was with the freezer covered in caricatures of the staff in plain view of the whole store (messy). What happened? How about the staff? What happened to wearing a “uniform” or Milkcraft shirt? The staff here was wearing whatever they wanted, looking like they just rolled out of sleeping in the back seat of their car and throwing on a black non-descript apron. Their friendliness was almost non-existent like they had no desire to have a job. I’m pretty sure they have an employee handbook which discusses cleanliness and attire, but if they don’t they need to because it is not a clean look whatsoever. What happened? The general vibe of the store is moving and has moved away from the typical higher end West Hartford Farmington Avenue that the surrounding restaurants and stores portray and is more of what to expect in more run down parts of town. Unless they re-do the whole store and bring it back to what it was when they first opened or the clean experience you get going to the original store I will not be returning and will not be recommending a visit for anyone (go to Ben and Jerry’s right on the corner)

They forgot my order and they weren’t even busy the Asian guy looked at me like I was crazy when he’s the crazy one for not making my order

Yummy ice cream in fun flavors. Always worth a stop in.
