Their com tam suon trung was great. I saw a for sale sign on the inside of the restaurant, hope they're not closing anytime soon. Very difficult to compete with the 6 other vietnamese quisine places around here, but they do a very good job.

This was some tasty food. Every time I go here, I order something I've never had before. Truly a treat for the tastebuds.

I was in the mood for a Grilled Pork/Egg Roll Vermicelli Bowl and I called Pho 68's number. Pho 68 is located in the West Hartford Design District. The inside and outside are a bit dated color-wise (lots of tans, browns) and decor-wise, but it's a pleasant place to eat your meal. I liked my bowl, which also contained mint, crushed peanuts, green onions, some sort of intentionally bitter green and fish sauce dressing. The thin grilled pork had a great flavor from the marinade, and good texture. I like other Vietnamese egg rolls in the area better, but it was good. The bitter greens were maybe a touch too bitter for me, but flavor-wise, it made sense to balance out the salt, sweet and sour flavors from other ingredients. The bowl was about 4.25 Stars for me. Better than a 4, but not quite good enough to round up to 5 Stars.

I've been to so many Vietnamese restaurants in the Hartford area but this has easily become one of my favorites. I discovered it by chance when I was in the area and wanted to grab a quick dinner before heading home. Fast forward a few takeout orders later, I've had their Pho, Bun, Spring Rolls, Egg Rolls, Banh Mi and Banh Xeo. Everything is so good! Portion sizes are big too. Also the interior is nicely decorated with plenty of tables and booths if you want to eat in. I'm hoping to do that soon.

This Vietnamese restaurant is a terrific local gem, with delicious food and great staff. I've ordered their banh mis and phos several times, and each time the food was fresh and hot. The ambiance is welcoming and classy, yet non-fussy, and they have an extensive menu that should suite most meat-loving and vegetarian tastebuds. Portions are exactly right for a healthy meal.

Have only been here for take out, so can't really rate service. Every time I go the place has a few people but never really packed, usually one person managing the tables and take out at the same time, this gets annoying sometimes hence the one star being taken off. The pho overall is good, my partner and I usually order the chicken pho and haven't had any problems. The first time we ordered we got one beef, but the broth doesn't stay warm enough for take to cook the beef, so we weren't really a fan! The chicken however is the winner, my partner and I both love it. They usually give enough veggies and sauces to keep everyone happy but I order an extra broth every time, because it's delicious! All of the food is fresh and we can't get enough, this is now on of our go to spots for a quick weekend meal it's pho-tastic!

I've been going to this establishment for years now, each time ordering upwards of $50 dollar orders. This time my partner and I ordered beef pho and vegetable pho. I picked up my order at 11:45am, due to work obligations we were unable to eat or even open the bag until 1:15pm. When we finally opened the bag to begin eating we noticed part of the order was missing (the sauce, bean sprouts, lime, basil, Jalapeño). Without these key items the pho just is not the same. So once we noticed we immediately gave them a call to notify them they missed part of the order, and considering we would have to take time off of work and drive another 20 minutes back to the restaurant, we kindly asked if they would be willing to provide a credit of equal value to one of the pho soups to make up for their mistake. They immediately became defensive stating that they know they placed all of the items in our bag and then proceeded to question why I was calling back so long after picking up my order. As I said before, we are working people, unfortunately we were unable to immediately open and eat our food upon pick up. They were unreceptive to our reasonable request asking them to consider the inconvenience of having to drive back and take time off of work for an oversight on their part. They did not want to hear any of it and were adamant that I was asking for too much. I refuse to support an establishment with such little professionalism that clearly do not value their customers. This is our very last time ordering from here.

A real find, and a new favorite. We'd heard good things about Pho 68 and decided to stop by for lunch--it was a delight! A simple, clean, well-kept (and well-distanced) layout, we were seated at a booth and given individually wrapped utensils. We ordered several appetizers, since it was our first visit, and liked them all. Then we order two different phos and were very happy with both (and had enough to take home). The owners/chefs/servers were welcoming and the service was terrific. The crowning glory? I accidentally left my phone, and it was returned to me the next morning even though the place was officially closed that day. Such a generous and kind gesture is an indication of people who take their business, and their patrons, seriously. We will be back and will bring friends.
