I ordered takeout and when I picked up the bag I immediately knew I was cheated. There was very little weight to it. The serving of vegetable lo mein was a small cereal bowl. I paid 33 dollars for mostly air. I was running late so I had no time to deal with it.

The waitress was terrible. Example: instead of handing me the menu or even trying to get my attention, she actually jabbed me with the plastic menu! Then she retreated to talk with her colleagues until the food was ready. There was more, but that gives an idea.It was mid afternoon, so the place was almost empty. I won't be returning, obviously.

Great service, atmosphere, and most importantly - amazing food! Highly recommend the scallion pancake roll with twice cooked pork, it was so good and our favorite dish. Dan Dan noodles also great. I'll be back to try the bao, the soup dumplings were good but not my favorite.

Went there for the first time yesterday with high expectations after seeing many positive reviews. The food was overall good except for the steamed Soup Dumplings that were not totally cooked inside and the 5 pieces serving was a bit unusual? The waitress was pleasant but kind of slow and forgetful so our overall experience was not good enough for us to go back again.

Absolutely the experience is awful. We were threatened by the server and force us to give more tip$!!! We paid 18% tip because the shrimp & pork soup dumpling is bad, not only the soup was split out before they served, also tasted bad. 18%(after tax) is not much yet absolutely rational, but the server was shouting out for more and it’s embarrassing/annoying at public. We paid 20% in the end. I m not going anymore and so as you guys my friends.

One of my favorite places in West Hartford! The chengdu dumplings, bamboo shoots and soup dumplings are my go to dishes. Food has lots of flavor and the menu has great variety. Food comes out fast and waiters are attentive.

Song is the most authentic Sichuan Chinese food in the area. My parents grew up in China and pretty much refuse to eat Chinese food out at any other restaurants in the area (other than Shu and Han, which are run by the same owner).The Sichuan flavors are exactly what you want - flavorful and spicy with that signature tingling sensation. I love the dan dan noodles, gummy noodles, chili oil wontons, and the SOUP DUMPLINGS!! I’ve had the “best” soup dumplings in nyc and these were far superior. Flavorful broth, juicy meaty filling, thin dumpling skin.Do yourself a favor and come to song if you want authentic Chinese food at a VERY affordable price!!
