The food was so good. We shared some appetizer plates so we can try a few things. The fries, sweet potato flautas and beef skewers were my top favorites.

Had an amazing experience at The Laurel recently. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the vibe is super chill—one of my favorite things was that it was quiet enough to actually have great conversations with my group.

The drinks were fantastic. I had the False Alarm and a glass of bubbly, while others in my party enjoyed the Dill With It and a spicy margarita. Everything was well balanced and refreshing.

For food, we shared a bunch of dishes: the cornbread, Brussels sprouts, tuna hornazo, wagyu beef skewers, prawns and grits, and the CT-caught sea bass. The cornbread was so good we ordered seconds, and honestly every dish was delicious and thoughtfully paired.

The only small odd detail was that the wagyu beef skewers came with a roasted lemon, while the sea bass didn’t come with any lemon at all—which felt a bit strange. Not a big deal, just something we noticed.

To finish the night, we had the tiramisu and it was absolutely delicious.

Overall, the service was exceptional and the entire experience was fantastic. Great food, great drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere—we thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

A birthday touch like no other. Simple, yet deeply meaningful. The food and drinks were excellent, but what truly made it special was the feeling behind it all. Grateful for moments like these that remind me how beautiful life can be. 🎂✨🥂

Went to The Laurel over the weekend with my fiance & had a wonderful experience. From the amazing farm to table options, attentive staff, great selection of cocktails & mocktails. We also left room for dessert and tried the Basque Cheesecake & Vegan Chocolate Mousse which were both amazing.

I love it when I go to a restaurant and I experience dishes, preparation and flavors I've never had. We ordered a number of small plates including the spicy Caesar salad, flautas, cornbread, and Brussels sprouts. Every dish was unique. Service was solid. If I can offer one recommendation, lose the ice chips and offer a solid, large cube for an old fashioned. We shall return next time we're around.

Hosted my mom’s 70th birthday dinner here, and it was EASILY one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in my 35 years on this planet! The food is PHENOMENAL!! Everything was so incredibly flavorful, the drinks were all super creative and unique, and the atmosphere was really lovely. I booked the private dining space, and did the 4 course dinner. For myself, I ordered the beet ensalada, the garam masala wings, the Black Sea bass, and the tres leches tiramisu and I genuinely could not pick a favorite. Each item was so incredible in its own way, and I sincerely mean it when I say this was one of the best dinners I’ve ever had. Worth every cent!!!

And to top it off, the Laurel team was super easy to work with and extremely accommodating. I cannot recommend them enough, and most certainly plan to be back!

Visited 2/13 and had the Valentine's Day menu. This was our first time at the restaurant. Food was very good; variety of options presented in the menu, everything we had was very well composed, all elements of the dishes complimented each other. Highlights were the fois gras mousse, sea bass, and chicken/peanut stew dish.

Pricing and value are highly suspect. We expected to be paying $250+ for the food (Valentine's menu was $95pp), but some of the up charges in my mind are unjustified. Up-charge for an oyster dish which is composed of 3 oysters (not listed on menu online); cost to the restaurant for the oysters was maybe $1 each?!? $5 up-charge for the steak tartar appetizer; came with 3 slices of toasted bread. We asked for more bread, and we're charged $4 for 2 additional pieces of toast - found this out only by looking at the bill. Left the evening with a slight feeling of being fleeced.

My husband and I went last night for their special Valentines Menu. All the food we had was wonderful! Our waitress Natasha was very attentive and gave us recommendations based on our questions. Their normal menu is a small plates menu which we love because we then we get to try lots of different things. So many creative dishes I’ve never had anywhere else- it’s clear why Chef Ashley Flagg just won chef of the year for CT!

Amazing cheese burger. I know it's gourmet, but my 4/5 star is only cause I thought options were a little too pricey. Please don't let that stop you though!
Also, it would be smart to make a reservation before you get there.

The cornbread, Cesar salad, and the steak & frites were a HIT at our table. The chef is so kind & the service staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to try brunch out!

It was a great night. We went for a friend's birthday and the food pleased all the picky people in our party. The server was attentive but not overbearing.

Then came a hand written birthday card. It was a unique, personal touch.

We'll be back
