Had a gift card to The Russell, and was excited to visit because we had heard good things for years! My fiancé especially loves Jamaican cuisine, so I knew he would love it here. The beef patty, fried chicken, and jerk chicken were all delicious, and we loved our sides of rice & peas, sweet plantains, and steamed cabbage. I really liked the vibe and the staff was nice and attentive. We would definitely come back when we’re craving Jamaican food!

Server was not checking on the table instead she was focus and worried about men at the bar had to try hard over and over to get her attention to order another drink and food. Will never recommend or go back here after my experience tonight. Waited atleast 20mins to get her attention after her flirting with men at the bar for her to come to the table when the tables place was closing zero stars if I can de to service

Finally got to this restaurant after many months talking about it and now I am wondering why we waited so long! Service was great and staff could not have been nicer if they tried. Had the Jerk Calamari and it was so good. Main courses of curried shrimp and jerk chicken were perfect. So much flavor! Drink menu was good and I loved my rum punch! We will definetely be going back to try more dishes and drinks.

WOW WOW WOW…My mother came here a few weeks ago and wanted us to try it she couldn’t stop talking about it since. So we’re here and they are schedule to open at 5pm they let us in at 4:57pm. To the table with drinks by 5:05pm. Eating out appetizer at 5:15pm, food out at 5:23pm. How steamy and well fresh!

As first time visitors; We drove 45 minutes to support this restaurant and will not return. The service was sub par at best. The wait time from arrival to being asked or served a drink:an entree was approximately 45 minutes. The waitress was the bartender; the bus boy and simply forgot about us. The portions for dinner were small and as stated by others the jerk chicken was doused in Sweet Baby Ray bbq sauce. ?. My husband and I observed several people arrive after us being served and exiting by the time our food arrived. When the food arrived cold and the waitress offered to “heat it up” I knew that this restaurant would not be on our top five. On a positive note; the atmosphere is quaint and nice! Please do better!

Nasty! Found a 3 inch hair in my food and when I contacted them they wanted me to come into the store to get a refund. They can keep my money and they better hope another lose hair isn't in other people's
Music was chillaxmode. Setting was cozy and friendly vibe. Food was flavorful and served timely. Bartender and server staff was excellent, even though it was an employee's 1st night. Highlight note, that female employee is also a great singer-vocalist.Great parking space outside too.Vegetarian options: Amazing specialties.

For the amount that your spending I certainly expect a lot more then a very thin dry piece of salmon and boxed mash potatoes and withered asparagus. Not at all impressed. None of my workers liked their dishes to the point to rave. Everything taste bland and unseasoned.

Enjoyed it very much. Authentic Caribbean. Our waitress Jody was excellent and very helpful. She said her favorite dish was the curried goat. I tried it and loved it. Top notch as was our other food. Everything was great.
