I had tried hand pulled noodles in New York for the first time. I liked them so much that I was eager to try a place here in Connecticut. I found this place and just wanted to try. Unfortunately I have to say, if you want good hand pulled noodles, stick with going to New York. I tried the chicken noodle and I was not impressed. The noodles were gummy and stuck together. The chicken pieces were flavored well, but the broth it was in was sour for some reason, and the broccoli looked like they were microwaved. The chicken dumplings were not great (I think they microwaved the food in the back) very gummy, and the crispy burger was okay. Would I go back for noodles? Definitely no. I think that if they just made the crispy beef burgers, there would be more people there. I hope that they can improve on their recipe. Inside was a bit messy, but I think because the chef was there by themselves. I hope things get better for them, CT needs more noodle places. This was just not it.

So I tried both Xian Famous Food in NYC, the one that made multiple headlines and hyped up to be amazing and this small restaurant Xian Noodle Factory in CT that I never heard about. I can tell you this one here in CT makes the Xian Famous Food look sad. From the first bite the flavor of the noodles explodes in your mouth. Xian Noodle Factory’s noodles are like fluffy clouds slightly kissed by a dragon - perfectly al dente with a delightful chew that soaks up every drop of rich, complex sauces. The flavor is immaculate. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients in every mouthful. It is clear that this place is way more authentic and the noodles seem to be hand made out of love. I will be coming back with my friends again. This place is amazing and not many people know about it yet. Beef Cumin Noodle and Crispy Chinese Lamb Burger was my favorite!

The dough was not fresh on the pork steamed buns at all. Also everything was a bit overpriced. Broccoli in noodle bowl was too crunchy. Maybe would be better if sat overnight and sat in broth.

They hiked the price by 50% of what is listed on online menu. I ordered spicy beef noodle soup and fried dumplings which cost me over $28 without tips. Taste is good but i cannot justify it based on the price. I went there around 6 pm on Friday evening and no one was dining in or taking out. There are only three dine-in tables. Not going back again.

this place is a dive. it is also a gem. I've been eating xian since they were in west Hartford. it's the only place in Connecticut that competes with the noodle shops I grew up with in NYC. The noodle quality alone is just outrageous. The soups are flavorsome and balanced. I love love this place and only wish it was open on more days.I don't recommend dining in. the new location is significantly smaller than their west Hartford site. But it's worth it!!
