One of the best Mexican Restaurants in all of New England. Menu has a variety of Mexican dishes. There salsas are great.

The service here was honestly one of the worst services maybe they were having a bad day or just too busy. But not busy to the point where they can’t check up on us if we need anything else . They came 4 times to our table and it was because they forgot stuff twice and the other 2 times was to bring our drinks and food besides that honestly once of the worst service. The older lady that took our drinks down you can just tell she had a nasty attitude maybe she needed her break . But if a family of 8 comes to a restaurant especially to dine in and I get it we ordered a lot mistakes happen. But if I have to get up to go get my check and you still take 5-10 mins to bring it when I’m looking at you do nothing is beyond funny and if I have to ask for it again is crazy work, especially because the older lady said “we’re bringing it already” (with an attitude by the way) yet nothing has been brought and we were in a rush to leave because we just didn’t wanna be there any more .The food wasn’t bad. And another thing on gratitude almost $40 dollars on a $195 check is crazy, tip is an option especially on service . Not saying we weren’t going to leave anything but tips is based on customer service and our own experience in the RESTAURANT.

I ordered a pozole soup but it tasted like water and oregano. I could have just threwn oregano in a bowl of water instead of paying $22 just to throw it away. I called to speak to somebody in charge and I just got attitude and they never came back on the line.

Chicken fajitas were great, and the service was very accommodating and kind. Chicken soup came with my entree and they bring three different sauces in squeeze bottles to try. I left full and happy. It’s a diner and has that vibe.
I am suspect of poor reviews, especially when the reviewer has few reviews. To counter a few - one bad experience after coming for years as a family of eight? Instead of speaking to them you decide to never come back and post a bad review? Hmmm.
I’m a white guy, and was treated just as kindly as the Spanish-speaking customers they knew, compared to another reviewer.

The flavor was there… but that was a soggy wet burrito and whoever wrapped it needs more work cause No… I did pico n sour cream on the side so it wouldn’t be wet and that was a waste… I’m really mad they heated my lettuce up… no one likes hot lettuce…

Update: Went back 5/31/25 still great food for a low price. The customer service is always excellent!! And for those interested they have a new Air conditioner in the dining area with the windows and it works very well. They will turn it on if it is off if you ask.

Don’t let the great location fool you. This is probably the worst dinner in West Haven. No matter what you order from the menu it’s going to taste like the cooks didn’t even try. Everything is mid, nothing particular extraordinary except the price. You’re paying top dollar to bottom feed. The only saving grace is the polite service from the waitresses, but even that’s not enough to distract from the awful food and ridiculous prices. I have dined here three times and each time the food was always unimpressive. From taste to presentation, it’s just not worth it. The fries are skinny and usually stale (probably not fresh but air fried to seem like it), the burger is tough, and the tacos are just sad. Never wasting my time or money here again.

The dish does not come as described on the menu and when I comment to them, the worker Celina responds despotically saying that the menu is wrong and that it is not her fault and that if I wanted the ingredient that was mentioned on the menu she had to charge me separately . I believe that people with that attitude should NOT work in customer service.
