They still have a food truck and catering (look for them on Facebook). Sad the restaurant closed. Amazing food and worth looking into for catering.
I'm from Florida and work over the road, I've tried alot of local food, and by far this was the best local food I've tried hands down. The staff was amazing and made many good suggestions. The classic Italian sub with the pickled egg plant on it was the best Italian I've had anywhere! If I ever come back through this town again I will definitely come back! Thank you for your food and hospitality Louise's!
Poor quality food. The cupcakes were the worst cupcakes I ever had.
The fried dough is very good, the cakes, cookies and pastries are also extremely good.
food was 10/10 only problem we had was the cheesecake cake pop the frosting was too thick and tasted weird but everything else was amazing

I made a comment on a post in a pizza group that regularly features pizza from around the US. This post happened to be about a pie from Louise’s bakery in West Haven. The same place whose owners were arrested a few years back for selling oxycodone out of it. Like a lot of local westies we were shocked when it stayed open and avoided it from there out.
I made a joking (granted immature) comment on a public post to inform people. Incase they weren’t aware and wouldn’t be comfortable purchasing food from this establishment afterwards, as I am not.
Then I get a private DM from the business owner Mr.Martone. Instead of messaging like an innocent, polite and kind business owner he responded like a guilty party - defensively, passive aggressive and even threw in a threat. How kind. Mike, in the future this would be the best way to respond to your business’s controversial past.
“Hey I saw your comment. I just wanted to let you know we have worked very hard to build the trust back with our community after our unfortunate incident years ago. As you know, things like that can create a lasting impression and we have tried really hard to get away from that. We strive to make fresh delicious foods and really hope to see you in one day soon to hopefully change your mind about us. Thanks, and let me know if I can clarify anything up for you. Have a great night!”
Did I have to comment what I did? No. In the future I will pay more mind to that. But did he have to DM me in the way he did? Hell no. If anything he just solidified that me nor my family will ever be customers. Customers beware ☺️

Had a steak egg and cheese with extra steak. It was delicious and the vibe in the place was a really “mom and pops” kinda vibe I loved it. Seemed like a family business and the extra steak was truly extra steak, a lot of meat lol. Def going back for breakfast.

While this spot is out of the way for us, it is an absolute must to stop in any time we are in the area. Before I even get to the food, the owner Louise and her son who helps run things are the kind of people who, when you walk in, it feels like you're walking in to Sunday dinner with the family. They're genuine and personable and take time to give each customer an experience rather than just a sale. Now the cookies and pastries... unbelievable. I come from a very Italian centric town and their deserts beat anything I've had near me hands down! The cannolis, the Italian pastries and oh god all the cookies. Its so hard to choose. Everything is fresh and very fairly portioned and priced. The stuffed breads are something you'll want to make sure to grab too since 1 will easily feed a whole family with a nice side salad. And the cherry on top - they even carry Foxon Park soda. 10/10, 5 stars, 2 thumbs up - whatever you need to call it. Don't sleep on this tucked away gem.
Vegetarian options: There is a deli section where you can build sandwiches and stuffed breads like spinach and tomato.
Parking: Plaza parking lot with lots of spaces
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking is available and very close to the ramp that leads right to the door

Thought about having some Fried dough but not sure who served it. I have to say that is really awesome fried dough and I had both sauce and powder sugar and I felt like I was at a carnival. Excellent service and nice atmosphere. Definitely going back!!

I ordered an 8 inches Italian Rum cake for my dad's 80th birthday. They made an 8 inches Italian cream cake instead which cost $72! They had also left a message to pick up the cake at a later time on a wrong cell phone #, so not only did they write down wrong cell phone # but more importantly, the wrong cake order was taken. No apologies, nothing! Cake was dry and so not worth the $$$! I will never go back there again! I looked at prices of other items, and they are all high!
