Lol I mean from the outside the place looks like it's falling apart I mean even when you go inside if you look at the place it looks like it's about to fall apart but the food is very very good besides the waitresses being very well there's no other words to say but bitchie other than that the food is good...

The staff is friendly enough. Atmosphere is whatever. However, the food and pizza are soooo good! I've loved this place for 20+ years and will continue to order food from here.

Best brocoli Rabe pizza in the state,hands down even counting the big 3 in New haven,the crust , etc everything is flavorful and Mike's been consistent for 30 plus years,try it you won't be disappointed

Very delicious pizza - not greasy, not salty, not too much spicy, just the right mild taste when you can feel the ingredients! The calzone was amazing with excellent ricotta! It was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality food.

I really wanted to love this place. It’s fine being a little old neighbor pizza place but with that I would think the quality would be good. We all said that we have never seen such skimpy toppings. Couldn’t see the “meatballs” of any sort or fashion. Tiny tidbits were underneath the other scrapes of onions and peppers. At $4.50 per topping anyone would expect something that you could taste or distinguish as the item. It wasn’t cheap or fast which is fine if it’s a fair amount. We ended up buying more food afterwards. Didn’t want to buy more pizza being it takes long and was so skimpy for the not cheap price.
We liked the taste though of what little there was.

Easily my favorite pizza in West Haven. There used to be so many contenders but they’ve all fallen to the wayside while Mike’s has stayed consistent. The house salad is so simple but that in house made Italian dressing is killer. I’d go just for the salad. Might ask them to add some cucumbers next time though.

I seem to be striking out with Pizza in the West Haven area. Not very flavorful, super crunchy black crust on my small pepperoni pizza, and the toppings less than generous on our large sausage and onion - famy was not thrilled about getting only a couple bits of sausage.

IF IT WEREN’T FOR ANGELICA..,You read that right! If it weren’t for Angelica the 10 of us would’ve walked out last night. We had a large group looking for a place that would welcome us despite not having reservations. Well.. we found this spot and met an ANGEL named Angelica. She welcomed us; told us our large group would be just fine. She started to rearrange the tables and we decided to help her because that’s what appreciative people do. The cook started yelling at us from the back. He was RUDE, HORRIBLE, UNREASONABLY HOSTILE AND RIDICULOUS! All because we were helping her. I wondered if he had an issue with a bunch of black people showing up unannounced..? I asked Angelica if he was the owner and she said yes. We were APPALLED!! THE OWNER WAS YELLING AT US?? I told her we won’t be putting money in his pocket. She begged us to stay. She told us her story and we felt compelled to let her do service recovery that the owner could take lessons from. We did. Angelica was the greatest!! We never would ever have stayed anyplace like this but.. IF IT WEREN’T FOR ANGELICA…
