This was our go-to place, but evidently COVID did a number on it. It changed its name and the menu shrunk considerably. No more of their roasted meats or the huge sandwich selection. The last time we ate there I was very disappointed; I had fish and chips and it was bordering on inedible (absolutely positively over-fried to the point of blackness) and I sent the dessert back - and I never send food back. I asked what happened and staffing and supply problems got the blame - but...
Since this is my first time there I got the cony burger medium rare and let me tell you this is one of first cooks to actually cook it perfectly the burger was amazing I got the onion rings too and I thought they were gonna be normal big ones but these are just like Wahlburgers and they are so good too can’t wait to order again the customer service was good hopefully they stay good and the food stays amazing
While visiting my college student we came across this place for an early dinner and so glad we did! We had excellent service by Dawn--very personable and sweet and we ate outside on picnic benches. They do have a bar inside and a small dining area. Bathroom was cleaned and well kept. Started off with coco fritters--delicious. The entrees were also very satisfying. I would suggest for anyone visiting the West Haven area.
