Coming here for decades, even at the old place
Whole belly clams dipped in buttermilk batter and deep fried 👍
The clams are fantastic, and the people that work here, are as well.
Hard-working and friendly

Very affordable seafood and also unique/yummy! It has a great outdoor seating area and very pleasant staff. The seafood stuffed clam shell is like a combination of thanksgiving and seafood so make sure you’re prepared for that if you order it. The lobster was fresh and good. The seafood chowder was okay but could’ve had more substance. Would go back and recommend to others!

I went here years ago. My only gripes are the following: It's CASH ONLY! The other one is that they're open until 7pm! 7pm?! Don't you think you'll get more business if you're open to at least 9pm? Just saying.

Yessssss! Stowes is the spot. We had tried visiting before but arrived too close to closing, so we were thrilled to return. This time, we ordered the lobster bisque, clam chowder, and lobster grilled cheese—absolutely packed with flavor.

The restaurant is right by the beach, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with a view. I definitely need to come back to try their fried fish, shrimp, and lobster rolls. The staff is friendly and very professional. They have a small parking lot, so plan accordingly. They have outside seating.

Expensive
Whole bellies didn't taste the best
Clams were drained on the sweet potato fries so those had a lot of grease

Stowe’s Seafood is the kind of place that reminds you why fresh, well-prepared seafood is unbeatable. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, the staff are friendly and efficient, and this spot takes pride in serving high-quality food. Everything feels fresh, from the service to the catch of the day.

The highlight of my visit was the Treasure Chest, which truly lives up to its name. It’s a seafood lover’s dream, packed with a generous variety that gives you a little bit of everything: shrimp, scallops, clam strips, sole, haddock, and a perfectly made crab cake, all served alongside toast. The seafood was cooked just right, crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. Every bite had that “fresh off the boat” taste, and the portion sizes were more than satisfying.

The Treasure Chest also comes with golden French fries, creamy coleslaw, fresh lemon, and tartar and cocktail sauces. The sides complemented the seafood perfectly, especially the coleslaw, which added a refreshing balance to the richness of the fried items. It felt like a complete seafood feast in one basket, and it’s an excellent choice for anyone who wants to sample a wide variety of what Stowe’s does best.

Between the friendly service, relaxed coastal vibe, and outstanding food, Stowe’s Seafood is a must-stop for anyone who loves seafood. The Treasure Chest alone is worth the trip. It’s indulgent, delicious, and the kind of meal you’ll think about long after you leave.

The location is wonderful. The food was ok. Best thing on the menu are the fries 😋. The shrimp tacos are good. Everything else needs some salt. Just my opinion. All I'm all I'll visit again when I'm New Haven
