Me and my plus-sized wife went here last Sunday for breakfast. The food was delicious and me and my wife had a good time. This stopped when a worker named Sarah kept glaring at my wife. My wife rolled over to the counter on her scooter to ask for another blizzard when Sarah asked "Are you really gonna eat that"? After this my wife was very quiet until I asked her what was wrong. My wife cried to me on our way home saying its awful how plus-sized people still face so much discrimination even in 2023. So yeah, I'm not to happy about my experience.

Went to Westbrook for a company outing. Went to DQ at 10:00 ( they close at 10:30) the staff didn't acknowledge me. The next night I went at 9:00 (they close at 10:30) same treatment. I just wanted some ice cream.
A manager named Ashley was very rude. I asked about a coupon on the app. And she couldn't take it because of their ancient register. They supposedly don't have the appropriate "equipment" then maybe they should shut down if they can't afford things to keep it going or to keep customers happy. She proceeds to tell me and go on & on about how they would need $30,000 for an updated register. That is not my problem or concern. I AM A CUSTOMER. IF YOU CANT AFFORD YOUR BUSINESS TO DO THINGS THE CORRECT AND MODERN WAY THEN THE WESTBROOK DAIRY QUEEN NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY. WE ARE NOT IN THE YEAR 1942 ANYMORE. IT IS 2023.

Today I feel discriminated and make fun of because of my accent or because I am a person of color, I been coming to this DQ for 18 years, every time have my blazzer, after having my treat I will go home very satisfied, although the people behind the counter are not the sweetest because they are crazy busy, unfortunately, tonight I had a bad experience, where I feel mistreated by the manager Heather, she was called inside the restaurant by one of the employees who make a mistake, when I place my order I ask one of the young ladies behind the counter, the when she going to ring me out, please make three different orders mean in three different receipts, she said ok, she begin to ring out the first order and I pay she give me a receipt then I pay the second order she gave me a receipt, and then she walked away, and then I realized that she put two items in one receipt when I had told her that I need the receipt for each item, I ask her please to fix it and give me two receipts. She said that she don’t know how then she called her manager who was already outside living home, The manager came in and asked me what happened I explain. And then she said we cannot fix it because we will lose money and then I say the money is there in the register you only need to void this receipt and ring me out each item again and then she start the process with a smirky smile on her face, and I feel like she was making fun of me. I don’t know if it was because my accent or because I am a person of color, then she fix the transaction and gave me two receipts, and then she remark to me….. next time make sure you explain this to the workers and I said I did explain that to the young lady who took my order, It wasn’t my fault and then I asked for her name and she said why? You didn’t like something? And I said yes I didn’t like your attitude, and then I walk away to my table, as soon as I sat on my table, her and the workers behind the counter were laughing very hard and loud. Perhaps they were making fun of me. I feel very disrespected today at this nice place that I’ve been coming for 18 years.

I love having DQ Ice cream. Now I live in Clinton and have to travel to Guilford for ice cream they aren't a grill and chill and are open year round. With gas prices over $4.00 a gallon. I have a very limited amount of dq ice cream. Please reconsider being open year round..
