My cousin & I wanted to see what all the hype was about. We always wanted to go to the New Haven location but never got to(it has since closed down). We wanted to grab a bite to eat after shopping at the outlets. We came across Lenny & Joe's & were excited. It was rather busy in there but we still got a table promptly. Waitress was attentive & made our experience pleasant. I ordered the fried shrimp dinner. It came w/ fried shrimp,fries, tartar sauce,& cole slaw. Shrimp were very small.Coke slaw tasted weird (maybe it was old).Tartar sauce was way too chunky for my liking. Needless to say I was disappointed. Inside has an old school boat themed vibe. I like nostalgic stuff.

Just GO! Fresh and amazing seafood and by far the BEST Lobster Roll I've ever had in my life!!! Not a fancy place by any means but the food is worth everything!

We've sat at the bar 3 times now and we're so turned off. We get a hostile feeling each time we've tried dining there. Tonight we were given "last call" at 7:50 before we were even served our dinner. Gee when did this become state law?? If you serve dinner till 8:00 does that mean you're seated till 8:00 but then receive no alcoholic beverage but only maybe an iced tea? We owned a restaurant for over 37 years and never heard of anything so absurd. This was so unwelcoming I barely felt like eating my dinner. I'd rather stay home than patronizing this restaurant again or never sit with this bartender again. No thanks! If you want to get home early work the lunch shift! Tried 3 times and the experience has been horrible sitting at the bar each time. To many fun places to go then experience this downer!!
I wish I could give Lenny & Joe's 10 stars! I LOVE Lenny & Joe's. I now live out of state & can not get fresh seafood that I like (cod & scrod). EVERY time I come home to Connecticut, I ALWAYS make my 1st & last stop. YES, I stop here 2 times more if I can LOL. Thank you Lenny & Joe's for being the BEST restaurant in the WORLD!- HAPPIEST CUSTOMER EVER
