Stayed here for a family vacation the amenities were amazing they have a Starbucks inside of the spa and the spa itself was a treat to be there for it was a very relaxing place to spend a vacation I would recommend it to all my friends and family

Stayed for a week in October. Lucky to have the most amazing weather for the whole week! Highly recommend this resort. Grounds were pristine, restaurant food was excellent, beach is beautiful, room very spacious and clean, workout area and pool/jacuzzi are all very nice. We took full advantage of everything the resort offers and were very impressed. The area has tons of restaurants and shopping. Would love to stay here again ❤️❤️

This resort is not only stunning, but very friendly and accommodating! They have always gone above and beyond both personally and professionally when I have visited! From a business perspective I highly recommend Water’s Edge! Great customer service!!

This resort is absolutely stunning. The staff at the hotel are friendly and the rooms are spacious and beautifully done. The spa (I can only speak for the pedicure) was underwhelming. I booked the one hour pedicure for $60 (only option) and got the absolute bare minimum. (I did get a hot towel, only one, wrapped around both my feet together) When she was done I inquired about the fact the there was still exposed nail between my cuticle (also not pushed back or trimmed) and she told me she wasn’t finished. (Although after she finished she had to clean up around my nails again. When she was done she told me it would be 15-20 minutes to dry and I could move to another location (the relaxation room where people were so chatty you couldn’t relax) or anywhere in the hotel. But I couldn’t stay in the chair. (One of 4 chairs) because someone was coming into the room for a manicure. So I went up to my room and sat until they dried. When I finally got to look at them properly after they dried you could clearly tell the last coat didn’t sit right on the drying paint. Waste of money. Go into town for a pedicure. I can’t speak for the rest of the spa.

We came here for a holiday buffet (Thanksgiving day) it was very expensive ( $70 per person) not including any drinks or gratuity. The food was good, but nothing there to make it worth$70 which I could have lived with even though it was high, but I was charged $70 for my 11 year old dauchelter whom ate 3 chicken tenders & some fruit, when I called o er the phone I was giving a lower price e for children, but when I hot the ballot was $70 for her too. The waitress talked to the manager & said it was already written down so there was nothing they could do. I should have not giving her a tip at all bit my wife felt bad & I did tip her, but I will never let this happen again. The buffet at the Storrowton tavern in west springfielm Massachusetts has better food & thee buffet is $36.00 for adults $22.00 for children.

My wife and I just returned from a spring break trip to the Water's Edge Resort. We took our 3 kids and stayed in a junior suite in the Library/Fenwick building. The room was nice - it had been updated within the last year and had a lot of space for my kids to play, shower/bathe, even eat when we got room service one night. The beds - both the bedroom bed and the pull out bed - were extremely uncomfortable though. I don't know if it was just my room or every room, but if it's every room, the beds need a change. For a resort, the grounds were gorgeous. I would love to return in the summer to see the outdoor pool and the beach in full use. It is a hike though from the main building and parking lot to the beach and outdoor pool. But the onsite restaurant was just ok. We ate at the Italian fine dining restaurant, but for the price, I would say it wasn't worth it. The views are amazing, but if you're looking for great food - the pizza at Westbrook Pizza (you can walk there from the hotel) is great, as well as Cristy's in Westbrook center - we went there twice for breakfast - food and atmosphere were awesome. It reminds me of a spot you would see on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. One thing I will say though if you have a family, bring paper plates, napkins, and plastic utensils - the kitchenette is empty save for a microwave, fridge, and sink. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool, but as another reviewer mentioned, it needs a little work. The coffee shop and gift shops next to the pool are great additions to the resort and have pretty much anything you need for your stay. Finally, the customer service was not on par with what you would think a posh resort like this would offer. The only people who were friendly were the two gentlemen opening the doors to the main building every day and night. Even checking in was a problem. It seems that staff cannot be bothered sometimes. Overall, a three out of five stars. The place has its positives, but lacking in the detail.

This resort has a nice location and the footprint is fabulous but is clearly in need of modernization (lots of spaces are worn out) and a refocus on customer service. Small things, but they add up overall especially when you keep noticing them…. Television in our room didn’t connect to signal. When I asked for it to be fixed, nothing happened and no communication on why (I gather it was forgotten about). Service in the restaurant included our waitress saying she, “didn’t know what the hell it was called” when referring to an ingredient in a dish on the menu. And it seems like a lot of the staff use e-cigarettes because all I could smell was peach flavored juul. Indoor pool area needs an overhaul, especially the sauna where the heat of the water clearly removes the paint from the concrete. Lots of potential but without a step up on details, the resort will stay at 3 stars or less.

And more expensive because of the holiday. Carol, one of the employees at the restaurant podium would benefit from refresher in pleasantness. Notice the tables in the main dining room no longer have table cloths. Silverware is not replaced after repeated trips to the buffet. Seems the waitress had too many tables to cover so when something was needed, the guest got up from the table to locate her and request what was needed. The buffet offerings did not match the published Easter menu. No where in sight was a whole smoked salmon nor were crepes flambéed with cordial of choice. There was no cordial to choose! Shrimp was watery and not crisp, the English muffin under the eggs Benedict were limp because not toasted, the lamb was dry, chafing dish entrees were cold, and platters were not replenished in a timely basis. And the Easter Bunny left his post 15 minutes early as noted by one of the children. Plans for next year do not include Water's Edge. Yours might not either.

I am not a high maintenance person, however I do have some expectations when spending over 330 dollars (after a discount and off season) for a room. Staff was not at all friendly except for the valet and bellman. The room appeared clean but we did find some very small toys on the floor that would have gone up a vacuum. Indoor pool was just so so. Ice machine on the third floor was not working. Bedding and pillows were very good. I just expected more from this place.

Front desk manager is rude, uneducated and disrespectful to the customers. Pay high price and get below standard customer service at the front desk. They need a professional manager, deliver higher quality customer service and well trained staff to delivery a superior hospitality culture. Will never go back there!

The venue is very nice for weddings, gatherings and relaxation. We loved that it is located by the beach. Before we went there I was experiencing nose congestion and headache. After just 1 day there, I felt better. We were also be able to go to the nearby casinos.

New Year's Eve rating. Not the facility. Let me start by saying the facility and staff are great. Honestly. I have been there more than once to use the spa, had lunch and roamed the grounds. But NYE was a disappointment. Upon arriving, 12/31/22, at 3PM (check in) there were only 2 valet. Both were parking cars and helping guests with luggage. Impossible. Lines began. I was told a third was arriving at 4PM. The front desk was overwhelmed. Again, lines forming. They were still decorating. The web site was misleading. there was a post that lead you to believe the festivities started at 6PM. No. The cocktail hour began at 7PM. At 7PM lines began at the 3 bartender stations. Certainly not enough for the amount of people. The waiters who walked around with hors d'oeuvres apologized each time they got to our table because there wasn't much left. And we were in the front. the table consisted of mounds of cheese. no meat and crackers. At exactly 8PM we were ushered into the ball room. The band was set up but did not begin until 9:30PM. Dinner was served in the meantime. Piped in music. Still lines to drinks out in the hall. After an hour of playing the band took a break! When the filet mignon arrived it was a perfect piece of meat. ruined. Kept under a heat lamp I assume. the advertised Chocolate Mouse was not. It was a ball of something with a chocolate coating. No coffee or tea was served. Brunch was included. A great assortment of food. I think they saved the meat on the cheese table for the Brunch. No Mimosa or Champagne included. Rediculouos. If this was their first NYE celebration I would say, not terrible but not worth the money. It was not. They will not be seeing us again or the 2 other couples that were with us. Too bad because it could have been the perfect NYE celebration.
