The restaurant was not even open for our reservation for brunch and we had to find a place last minute. We were super excited to try it but was very disappointed not a single employee seemed to be there when we showed up for our 11:30am res. Hope everything is ok though.
We have tried this restaurant 4 times now, and unfortunately will never go back. It is such a cute restaurant, but last night they served me a raw cheeseburger and me and my husband brown avocado on our burgers as well. The server was great, but the quality of the food is really poor.
The young man serving us was wonderful- attentive and helpful. The food was not good. My daughter’s burger was undercooked so we sent it back. It’s too bad because I live near this restaurant and want it to be good but it is simply not. We will never return.
We went for dinner and sat in the covered patio section. It was pretty quiet, just three other tables were filled. It is a nice low-key place. The bar area seems like a fun place to meet up with friends. The food was excellent. We had the Brussel sprouts and the calamari appetizers, which were delicious. We had the seafood gumbo, burger and linguini vongole for entrees. They were all great.
Terrible experience. Made reservation for 12:30 on Thursday. May 4 and confirmed. On arrival restaurant closed until 4. Telephone, messages full but recording said open for lunch Thursday and Friday. Wrong. Ruined a birthday lunch as we had walked there. Never will try again as they go not seem to know what the are doing. Looked cute and that is all. A big fat O
It's such a cute location and our wait person was great. Very friendly. Unfortunately we were there during their transition from Winter to Spring menu and they were out of so many items that we had to leave and go to another restaurant. Additionally, there is no way to speak to a "live" person when you call the restaurant and on the phone recording it said Happy Hour was 3pm-7pm and on the menu it says 4pm-6pm. It seems alot of different elements need attention and updating. Maybe that will happen with the Spring transition. We may give it another try when they work things out but it's a cute and convenient location.
Restaurant seems to have lost it's focus. Wait staff was scant and overwhelmed. We asked for water, and waited and reasked 3 times. That was the least of it. Food was marginal - not very good. Our second visit - the first time it was very very good. This time it was disappointing -- would not return or recommend.
We had a reservation at 2:30pm on a Saturday and because they were closing for some time before dinner they were unable to make what we asked for (e.g. they wouldn't make a steak for a salad, they would not make a second aperol spritz). If we had known they wouldn't be able to serve us properly for lunch we would have gone somewhere else.
I am not from the area but was in town for the day and read good reviews about this place. I cannot stress enough - avoid at all costs! We were seated in the covered area and it was probably 85 degrees with no air or fans as the room baked in the sun. There are maybe 10 tables in the whole place and 3 of us in my party. Our food took an hour to arrive and there were empty tables in the place. I asked the server several times about the status of our food and was told the kitchen was backed up. On what?! My burger came out and after a few bites I found several hairs in the burger. So unbelievably disgusting. My daughter’s bacon was virtually raw and when I showed the server he said “did it come like that?” I responded, “no I uncooked it since it was served.” Is he kidding? The table next to us sent their drink back because there was bug in it. As we melted, we waited what felt like an eternity for our bill. Terrible food, terrible service, and a sauna-like environment. I reiterate my former point - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
On a Saturday night at 7:45, they were out of MANY appetizers and main course items. The waiter was trying very hard but in addition to menu issues, there were no plates or um, silverware. Meltdown!!

To start we had the crispy rice sashimi which was delicious. Started with the feisty ginger cocktail. It wasn't boozy tasting but more on the ginger beer side. I then switched to wine with our dinner. I had the winter salmon as my entree. It was fantastic. Well cooked and flavorful. It came with pieces of roasted butternut squash which complemented it well. Finished with these empanadas filled with melty chocolate. The crispiness was perfection. Our waiter was polite and friendly. Made sure to check in. He put in extra effort to turn on the space heater since we were out in the enclosed patio. It was quite except when a large table came in which is expected to bring noise. They had a variety of small tables with chairs on one side and small couch opposite. Would definitely recommend!
When we arrived at the restaurant we were told tables in the main room were reserved but we could eat at the bar. Although the seating at the bar was comfortable, those tables marked “reserved” remained open for the full time we were at the restaurant. Very strange...
I should have suspected things were great when table availability was wide-open on a night that is usually busy in Westport. the online menu looked better than the menu we were offered on arrival. The service was prompt and pleasant, but we were the only diners in the place other than a group at the bar. The food was very disappointing. The salmon, requested rare, came over done. Both the salmon and branzino fillets looked like the sort of thin pieces that one might pick up frozen in a supermarket.
A charming little neighborhood place with good food and an ambiance midway between a local pub and a small foodie place. Seating options included the bar/main dining room, an enclosed patio area, and an al fresco patio facing the parking lot. Traffic noise in the patio was noticeable but not troublesome. A somewhat limited menu, but the food was fresh and very nicely prepared. The gazpacho was pureed immersion-blender style but still redolent of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and onion. Our neighbor at the next table had the New England clam chowder and reported it was excellent. My companion's crispy salmon and my pan-seared branzino fillet both spoke of an expert touch with fish. Both were crisp and golden with a moist and tender flake. There was a small but serviceable wine list and a small dessert selection. The service was absolutely top shelf. If I lived locally this would be one of my local haunts for date nights with the wife. Highly recommended for a casual foodie experience (or is that an oxymoron?).
We went on a Sunday evening and there was no one there when we arrived. The restaurant is cute with a lovely outdoor space. The waiter was amiable and attentive. The food however was awful...just awful. We ordered simply. Brussel Sprouts which most every restaurant do so well these day, these however were totally insipid. No char, no flavor. We ordered broiled Fish tacos and also fried Fish tacos. They came in a double hard shell which tasted stale. Tiny slab of overcooked fish with no flavor whatsoever. Menu said it came with a slaw, but it was barely visible. An 11 year old could do a better job with tacos and I wondered if someone was just winging it in the kitchen. Enough said, will never return. Advice to restaurant: Get a new chef!
