This used to be Carvel which was an iconic institution in Westport for decades. Even though it's under new ownership, the ice cream remains the same and I swing by here every Thursday either for a chocolate shake or the strawberry short cake sundae.

we came, ordered ice cream. they made the wrong order we expected, we waited 10 minutes, then we asked for a check, they just wrote it for us with a ballpoint pen on paper, we didn't expect that. terrible service

This store does not allow customers inside of the store. They use they summer window year round. I went in the middle of January when it was only 17 degrees outside to get my partner his favorite ice cream cake for his birthday. With only one person serving customers and 3 people in line in front of me, I waited over 10 minutes outside, which I did not expect. I also couldn't look at the choice of cakes myself and choose which one I wanted. Because they are inside the store. In a display case. Instead I had to explain to the employee, who was trying to be very helpful but not that great at it, what I wanted based on the choices on the Carvel website. Which I guess this Carvel does not make.

Took a spoonful of large cup and there was a hair on the spoon that matched the person who prepared the cup. Brought it back. Server was indifferent. Asked for a refund. Sad. Can’t give any stars
I paid 18 dollars for 2 Soft serve ice creams that had a hit of Soap after-taste and asked for a large they gave me smalls for the cost of a large . The girl working there had no clue what she doing seemed like. List could go on
