a good basic bar and pub/tavern ,,,, nice menu, entree and side items nicely prepared and presented ,,,, sometimes interesting specialty beers sometimes quite good ,,,, the big clock is working again so I'm not sure if there's much more time - someone probably knows ,,,,

All we wanted was a beer .. Talk about a racist establishment. I literally never want to bring race into the way people treat others but this smacked me in the face. My fiancé and I walk in with her service dog and immediately the bartender tells us we have to leave. I ask why, he then blames her service animal for why we weren't allowed. I then proceed to show him the ADA cards we carry explaining the laws (so we didn't have to argue) but instead of reading it he tells me he's going to call the chief of police and get his opinion. I reply "please do!" He then comes back in and says "after calling the owner he says no service dogs are allowed in without paperwork." I am now getting aggravated because he has now lied to me about who he was even calling to see if we could stay NOT THAT HE COULD SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT! But I digressed, and asked if there would be a way to then sit outside and be served. HE THEN TOLD ME THERE IS NO OUTSIDE SEATING but as we can see from the picture below.. there's plenty of seats plus a newcomer but their shade is wayyyyy lighter then mine is. After all of the my Fiancé, who if I may add is a Sergeant Amry Veteran who needs our service dog for her episodes, couldn't take it anymore and walked out. I followed soon after her with dog in tow. The bar patrons stare up as if they want to say something but why stick up for what's right? Needless to say we won't EVER be going there again and NEVER EVER would recommend this place to anybody. HAHA and what's great as I'm writing this an older gentleman (USMC Vet) walks over to our car and says he's sorry for the way we were treated in the establishment and he wished more people were educated. Maybe an off night for this local place . Bartender couldn't care and was so unpleasant . Didn't even finish my beer and as i asked for a menu I got a brunch menu first time in a long time that I just left with a beer still in the glass how about a how are you and welcome

My first post-pandemic, solo trip out for a drink was to Dunville's. The bartender. Glenn made me feel welcome and mixed an excellent Manhattan. In no time at all, he and the other customers at the bar and I exchanging memories of old time Westport. The burger and fries I ordered were outstanding. The burger was perfectly cooked and flavorful and the fries were as crisp as I like them.Glenn was fun and engaging...a real improvement over the places I've been where a single woman is often treated as though invisible.If you're looking for good food and a welcoming place to have a cocktail, I can' t think of a better place than Dunville's, especially when Glen is working the bar.
Charged me 24 dollars for one rum and coke, bartender seemed upset that I wasn't opening a tab and I only wanted one drink.

We were visiting from Long Island and brought a group of 13 to Dunvilles. What a great local restaurant! The staff was so friendly and fun. Food was delicious. Smoked chicken wings, baked clams, ribs and angel hair scampi were just some of the yummy dishes we enjoyed. We will definitely be back next time we are on the area.

I just moved to the area. First time there......one and done. The server asked what I wanted when I asked for a drink menu. After two misses and a disdain for charades, I asked him what he had to offer me. Foods mediocre and the service is worse.
