We took the sourdough class and had such a great time. Chef Pierluigi is such a great teacher and the bread we baked came out AMAZING!
We celebrated the end the 2024 baking class season with (fresh mozzarella made at the begging of the class) fresh yummy assortment of cheeses, prosciutto and a bevy of fabulous spreads and BREAD!
We can't wait for Chef Pierluigi to start his 2025 classes!

Pierluigi conducts a warm, friendly, highly valuable class which covers choice of flour, making and handling a “mother”, mixing, resting, and proofing dough, etc. thoroughly fun.
My coworker brought some treats and shared with me and the Nutella pie and lemon cookies were so good. Highly recommend. Fresh ingredients and fairly priced

Pierluigi and his team are truly a cut above the rest. They distinguish themselves with a no-compromise approach to quality, genuine kindness, and the best in-person instructional classes. Not to mention the final quality of their baked goods, which is second to none. A real gem that has been graciously gifted to the Westport area.

From a true Neapolitan, the pastiera took me on a short trip to Naples, the Fuorigrotta area, for a real taste of Easter.Well done Pierluigi

My friend and I took a sourdough bread class at Fatto a Mano and it was excellent! Very informative and we got to both watch Pierluigi make the bread and practice ourselves which was a great way to learn. Highly recommend!

I recently signed up for Pierluigis Sourdough Bread making class at the Fatto an Mano Bakery in Westport, CT and it was a 5 star experience all the way. I felt it was taught in an organized way so that home bakers could feel educated and empowered to make beautiful artisanal bread at home. We learned all the different stages of making sourdough and we were able to get our hands on some dough and learn the techniques from the master himself. He is a gentleman!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!

Great authentic Italian baked goods. Bombolone pistachio is heaven. Breads and babà just like in Napoli. You will pay for it, but you’re getting top quality Italian products, which are almost impossible to find good ones in CT. Order online a few days before, always easy.

This place is a little gem! I found it totally by accident, saw a teeny tiny sign on a building, thought to myself … “made by hand?” What IS this? Looked it up and decided to try one thing… ordered, went to pick up and KISMET! The almond biscotti are magnificent! Went back the following weekend and have now tried numerous items. The breadsticks are beautiful to behold and delicious! Absolutely everything we have tried has been stellar! The customer service is absolutely personal and first rate! A lovely wonderful addition to the Westport culinary world. Truly a delightful treat. Don’t hesitate to order for pick up - the pickup line is fast and seamless. A++

Great Focaccia Backing Class!! Pierluigi is great!! And excellent products from his bakery! Highly recommend!!
We tried the sour dough bread and it is delicious! The perfect balance of taste and freshness. Soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. Also, my son has life threatening allergies to nuts and seeds like sesame etc and he did just fine with this bread!
