Harvest Wine Bar & Restaurant

The fried artichokes with jalapeño and dried ricotta is one of my favorite appetizers in any restaurant. We enjoyed both the chicken scarpiello  and chicken milanese

Horrible experience! Food was nasty but service was great- I was celebrating my anniversary and I ask to bring out the best dessert and never came. I add that note here on open table so they didn't even notice.

I love harvest. There is always an excellent choice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is exceptional. I wish they would be open for lunch on week days.

Nice menu - lots of choices. The shaved Brussels sprouts atop risotto cake was delicious. Some entrees were way too big - so we took them home! Staff is attentive and friendly

Service was great thank you for a great brunch. Our second time ever better that first time.

Servings were pretty small and quality was underwhelming especially for the price.

I got food poisoning from the Ahi tuna. I did order it rare so that’s a little bit on me. But it still should’ve been safe so that’s on them.

I know because it was the only unique item I ate among our group. And it was raw fish so that was a big clue.

So why 3 stars? Well I don’t think any place deserves a 1. The atmosphere was nice, the service was good, and everyone loved their food. Even me, until it made me sick.

The special: ribeye and roasted fingerling potatoes were horrible. I ordered the ribeye medium rare, and it was medium well-done at best. The flavor tasted chemically treated like the meat was first bathed in liquid smoke. The potatoes were overly salted and hard (under-cooked). The potatoe skins were getting stuck in my throat. Ambience was very loud and dark. The service: very attentive. She brought me mashed potatoes as a substitute which were very good. But, they tried to explain that the chemical flavor of the liquid smoke was from the wood fire oven? I have to totally disagree! I've never had an over done steak taste so chemically treated with liquid smoke. I'll never go back!

I have worked right next to harvest for over 3 years now at Tarantinos and I’ve always wondered why they don’t get anyone in there. I went recently with my family and I was shocked about the amazing service and delicious food. I have heard it had a bad reputation with being too heavy and expensive, but nowadays with rising inflations and them lowering the prices this is a go to for Westport.

Never a disappointment - from the greeting at the door, service, food, atmosphere to the reasonable prices. Harvest Wine Bar is a favorite with us and any family or friends who join us. Thanks again for a relaxing afternoon.

We have dined at Harvest Wine Bar for years - bar, dining room, special occasion, as a couple and with friends. There has never been a time when the service and the food has not been exceptional. Tonight was no exception. From drinks to dessert, it was excellent.

Really enjoyed being there. Great specials menu. Plenty of apertizers and dinner options. It's in a great area. Plan to go again as it gets warmer and outdoor dining is available.

Hectic, unorganized, chaotic, and long wait times, it seems like the staff does not communicate nor coordinate. The food was ok, small to medium portions for everything and tasted good but kinda pricey for what you get. Details below, can't make up some of the interactions, especially the 'to go box" at the end:Party of 6 and had a reservation. Showed up on time, table was ready and sat down, no issues so far. Our waiter came by, dropped off the menus, and took our drink orders. Several minutes after, someone else (I think the manager) came by and asked if we wanted to order any drinks, we said we had already ordered, he said ok and kept going. Eventually (probably 5-10 minutes) our drinks are served by someone else and no one has been by to take our food order.After about another 10-15 minutes (now about 30min total since we sat down) of staff and the manager walking by, we managed to get the managers attention to order food. We order appetizers and entrees altogether and tell him we are in a bit of a rush so everything can come out at once, and he says no problem. About 10 minutes after that, the first waiter stops by and asks if we are ready to order. We tell him we already ordered with the manager and the waiter seemed surprised and said ok.15-20 minutes later (now about 45 min total) only the appetizers come out. We assume the entrees would come out shortly after so we eat the appetizers. Everything is finished, another staff actually clears out the plates, and no sign of the entrees. Again, it took almost 10-15 minutes (total about an hour since we sat down) just to get the waiters attention to ask about our food and we ask for the check at the same time since we need to go. He says the food is coming out shortly.About 30 minutes later (now total hour and half since we sat down) is when the food finally comes out with the check. After all that, they missed one entree and the check had double charges on things we didn't order. We tell the waiter the issues and the check is corrected and the missing order is brought out but is the wrong dish. We just keep that one since we didn't want to wait anymore.All finished and paid, we ask for one box to go and that we would pack it at the table. The waiter instead took the plate in the back and said he would box it. After a few minutes, the waiter comes out and starts serving other people. The manager comes over and asks how everything was, we tell him we are waiting for our box to go, he says he will check in the back. He comes back with a bag and empty box and tells us this is for the food to go, we tell him that the waiter already took the food in the back because they needed to box it, he looks surprised and goes back into the kitchen. The waiter and manager then come out and ask us what the dish was that we asked to go. Eventually the box comes back out and honestly we are not even sure it is the same food we asked to get packed.The place is a real circus.
