This place is so so freaking good. Wish I lived closer. I try to get something different every time I am there and have never been disappointed. I hadn’t been around for a bit and stopped in after the recent remodel and was shocked how good it looked (though I don’t remember it looking bad before),but these guys really seem to be the best deli in the area. So nice to have a long-standing, consistently good deli in Westport rather than the poorly staffed deli chains around town. I’ve never had a bad meal from JR’s. Great breakfast sammies. Today I had a roast beef on a roll with horsie mayo, Swiss, lettuce & tomato. It was SO tasty. The roast beef was warm and very tender…might have been seasoned a little too. In any event, for $11 it was very worth it- tons of roast beef. Keep up the good work, JR’s!
