Manager Michael is very rude. Had a dining experience awhile back and he would not accommodate our preferences despite having a reservation.

Just a perfect night made reservations for 7pm. We caught the sunset which added to our evening. The food was delicious, and our server was friendly.
Lived in the area for over ten years and always had this restaurant on our list to try. We went this past weekend- didn't know they were seasonal and closing soon. SO happy we went!! Wish they had the lobster bisque but they were out- otherwise everything they had was delicious. Drinks, oysters, mussels were all fantastic. Seafood had good flavor and tasted fresh. Highly recommended! Will be back next year!
Hugely disappointed. I made reservations to sit outdoor a month ago and when I arrive for my reservation tonight, I was informed there was not an outdoor table for me to sit at, simply “outdoor seating is not guaranteed”. B. S. Nowhere on the reservation request was there a note about “we may not be able to seat you outside if you pick an outside table”. So we sit inside and debate if we should leave, quite frankly, we came for the view, food I’ve had prior is alright. The table next to us mentioned to their waiter they wanted to sit outside and they were promptly moved to an outdoor table? We ended up leaving, not worth spending the money for the view I didn’t get to see.

This was our second visit in 4 weeks. Chef's oyster selection and burgers again were delicious - raore and medium rare, as requested. Martin, our waiter, was excellent and very solicitous. We had requested his table again on our second visit. The view overlooking the river into the LI Sound was spectacular - blue sky, white clouds, lots of sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboats. A perfect summer afternoon but it's closing for the season on September 1. Planning to return in 2026.
Great outdoor patio with views of the water. Watching the sunset from there is always special.
Beautiful anniversary dinner on the porch! Service was outstanding and friendly...napkins folded when you get up!
Setting can't be beat- amazing view! Service was very good too, as was the food. Wish there were more vegetarian options, but overall, I recommend.
First time here and we came to celebrate my Uncle’s 70th Birthday. The restaurant is right on the water, so the views are absolutely amazing. The hostesses greeted us warmly, and we chose to sit out on the deck to take in the scenery. It was breezy and comfortable.
It’s a long drive from NY, so we arrived hungry. We asked for bread, but they typically don’t serve it until dinner. Thankfully, our waitress understood and made it happen, bringing out two baskets for our party of eight, lifesaver!
Drinks were great, and we started with the seafood tower (tip: get two if your group is larger than four). For mains, we ordered a variety-lobster roll, burger, tuna tartare, fish and chips, steak and eggs, and the kids’ tuna and fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the service stayed friendly and attentive throughout.
Only downside: there was a $5 per person fee for the cake we brought in, plus a waiver to sign. Still, overall it was a wonderful experience with good food, beautiful views, and a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion.

Was absolutely shocked at the underwhelming experience. Seafood Tower was a let down and I believe they forgot to put the order in which caused a delay in our entrees. We were a party of 7, 3 of us had the Steak Frites which were all overcooked (closer to medium / medium well than medium rare). None of the Steak Frites came out with the fries, we were told they were coming out separately but they did not come for 6-8 minutes which is wild. From delivery of the first entree to last entree arriving was about 10 minutes, which again, is completely unacceptable. The quality of the steaks was also not what you would expect for $54 each. Party of 7, bill was $900. The $80 we spent earlier that day for Hot Dogs at Rawley's had way more value.

Love La Plage’s magnificent outdoor ambiance, its menu, and its food preparation, but for the caliber of who they want to be, the service can be a spoiler.
Once in a while the service is great….Not often enough and then the meal will have been a night wrecker.

La Plage has been one of my favorite restaurants went there for my birthday brunch and unfortunately was a bit of a letdown.
I had the Lobster Bisque, it was okay but could’ve used a bit more flavor. The lobster meat itself was nice, though. I ordered the brunch burger medium-rare, but it came out black and blue, which made it pretty much inedible, so I had to send it back. My friend got the steak and eggs, also medium-rare, but it showed up more on the medium side.
On the upside, the drinks were great as always, the vibe was still on point, and the support staff was super attentive. It was an OK visit, maybe just a bad day.

Best linguini with clams I ever had. The view of course is a big draw.
