Big menu change at Oko Westport: the bento boxes are gone, allegedly because the chef said he got stale of making them. That's a bold move considering they were one of the best parts of the menu. With the bento option off the table, I ordered the hanger steak (~8oz) medium rare. It came out well done, basically burnt, and for $38 it was shockingly stripped down. Just a mixed veggie side and an overcooked piece of steak. It's a tough pill to swallow paying that kind of money for that result, and hearing the bento got cut because the chef got bored. Creative freedom, right? Still feels like the wrong call. Will not be back anytime soon.

The team had made note of the fact we were celebrating our anniversary based on my reservation notes; and gave us the Chef's Table opposite of the kitchen; complimentary glasses of champagnes; the personal attentive service of someone I presume was either a manager or the floor captain as she was not wearing the same uniform as the other servers; and our every need was attended to without any ask or delay! The food was amazing! The cedar smoked black cod that o had been fantasizing about for weeks leading to this was every bit as good as I remember! The Foie gras nigiri sushi was mind blowing!!! OKO had become our special place for special occasions last year; and our visit last evening has affirmed that we were correct in that this is indeed a very special place! You've earned our loyalty for life! Merry Christmas OKO family!

Food always delicious, we are regulars. Only issue was the steak took extra long to come out which has never happened before. My daughter was finished eating her dinner while mine hadn't even come out yet. I asked the waitress 3 times what was going on and it was a lame excuse that made no sense. Just admit the kitchen or you messed up. They comped nothing on our bill either.

Well I guess it just happens...and it has to OKO Westport- We were longtime fans. Unfortunately something has changed- Service was poor - all round. Food was meh. Sticky ribs were old- cabbage salad was flat- no flavor to speak of. Realizing there are a couple of new hot Sushi spots in Westport to compete with- I was hopeful that OKO would remain top notch.

Amazing experience. Great service, loved the decor and atmosphere was comfortable. The sticky ribs were one of the best things I ever put into my mouth, along with the crunchy rice waygu they have on the menu. Miso soup, truffled eggs, and the HUGE bento box were on point. The desserts were phenomenal, don’t sleep on those matcha Kit Kats! I despite matcha and you can’t taste any of the match (which was a plus for me, maybe not for others). Pictured if their insane double chocolate cake.
