I highly recommend Rive Bistro. The restaurant overlooks the Saugatuck River. The food is wonderful and the wait staff is very attentive. My main course was trout and my dinner date had steak. Both were excellent.

Always a popular and busy spot. Food is always good. I always order the same meal - shrimp and avocado salad and a share of lovely hot fries with my friend. A glass of Prosecco to accompany made a perfect lunch with a lovely view of the river.

From the moment we walked into the restaurant and was graciously greeted by the owner and placed at a lovely cozy corner table overlooking the river, it was magical. The service was attentive and friendly and the menu had so many wonderful and delicious dishes that we will 100% be back. Loads of easy parking, a true gem indeed!

The manager / front desk lady of this place is horrible and has a sense of entitlement. We had a reservation for 730pm on a Saturday night and didn’t want to sit in the outdoor dining that, despite their “heaters”, is not part of the actual restaurant. The manager swore it was and I’m not sure how that’s the case, particularly since it’s November. After waiting for an hour for a proper table and having a drink at the bar, the manager of this place as shocked at how we asked about the timeliness of a table in the restaurant. We ended up leaving and the bar staff was mortified since we sat there very happily but the manager just ruined the whole vibe. Go elsewhere.
