Rive Bistro is a lovely, French restaurant on the river in Westport. We enjoyed a 'cousins' reunion at a spectacular farm table facing the river in all its beauty. Our server, Luis, was so attentive and yet, he allowed us to enjoy a slower pace with our lunch with family. We've been here many times and will definitely be back in the Fall.

Service was apathetic at best. The waiter we had last week was exponentially better. The scallops were good, but the peas? Not good. Salad was not the freshest. Lamb was good and modified to our diet restrictions was excellent. Suggest: you had a great avocado salad for a while- bring it back- add more interesting salads. A fillet mignon or porterhouse would be great and how about a chicken Milanese style with French veggies. Bread could be better. French one is ok but the other not good. Also, the bus boys desperately need training. I had to get up and walk to the bar area (where our waiter was socializing with the bartender) right after the bus boy delivered food and offered nothing (didn't ask if we needed pepper- which I would just put on the tables) and request lemon, pepper and Dijon mustard. Lemon should have been served with scallops. Hope this helps.

Delightful evening for a celebratory event.....wedding anniversary. Staff was friendly and enthusiastic. Food options were extensive and well prepared. Oysters were crisp and fresh; beet salad was superb. Setting on the river is lovely and worthy of getting there early to make sure of being seated over looking the water; indoor seating appeared attractive in the event of inclement weather. Caroline was a gracious, entertaining, friendly and competent hostess.

I highly recommend Rive Bistro. The restaurant overlooks the Saugatuck River. The food is wonderful and the wait staff is very attentive. My main course was trout and my dinner date had steak. Both were excellent.

Always a popular and busy spot. Food is always good. I always order the same meal - shrimp and avocado salad and a share of lovely hot fries with my friend. A glass of Prosecco to accompany made a perfect lunch with a lovely view of the river.

From the moment we walked into the restaurant and was graciously greeted by the owner and placed at a lovely cozy corner table overlooking the river, it was magical. The service was attentive and friendly and the menu had so many wonderful and delicious dishes that we will 100% be back. Loads of easy parking, a true gem indeed!
