Rye Ridge is usually one of my favorite places in westport, i'm not sure what happened whether they got new management or a new menu but the prices were extremely high and the food wasn't that good! I got the caesar salad with a side of fries and the lettuce in the salad was depressing, ofcourse i still ate it because i was starved and it was 15$ but at the bottom of my bowl there was this nasty black stain on the bottom (i will attach photo below). Breakfast was awful. Just don't. Challah French toast was soggy and bleh. My father tried the gluten free waffle and then asked us all to taste it to make sure his taste buds weren't broken. They weren't. Sour and old tasting. Like eating sweatsocks worn by a teenage kid in the rain for 2 weeks without washing. My mother's waffle was fine but 1 out of 3 is just bad. Lunch only.

Food was decent as always. However, today the service was abominable. We were told to sit where we want and at first greeted by a new employee who asked our drink order. Then didn't see him again for about 20 minutes. The place was basically empty and there was no excuse for the incompetence of waiting staff.
