What a wonderful place. A real treat for us during our vacation. Great food and lots of eye candy. So much fun. Great coffee. Great cookies. A really nice place for breakfast.

Great atmosphere. Food was amazing. Plates could be bigger but if you a health freak, it's the perfect size. I'm a big boy, so maybe that's why I'm wishing they were bigger.

I visited this location for the first time for brunch and was very impressed. The food and the service were phenominal. The store that is attached to the restaurant is extremely nice and sell some great products. I plan on visiting this location on regular basis.

We stopped here after looking at the menu while driving from Maine to Virginia and everything sounded amazing. When road tripping I dress for comfort not appearance, especially if I'm going to be driving 12+ hours. The hostess was very nice and professional, as was our waiter (Alex). Reservations are recommended but not required. Because we were planning on driving another 5 hours we elected to eat lite. The result was ordering mostly appetizers. The mushroom soup is absolutely amazing, as was the gnocchi and fritters. The fresh bread and gooseberry butter was also high on the list for both of my daughters. The ambiance was also fantastic; the attention to detail made for a whole experience. And again I Acknowledge we were underdressed because we were traveling. My other half and I commented to each other that we want to come back and enjoy the full experience. Here's why this place got a lower rating from me: two different tables adjacent to us made audible comments that all 4 of us could hear that were extremely rude aimed at us. An older lady kept commenting "those people shouldn't be allowed in here" and "I can't believe they sat trash next to us". One of these tables clearly complained to the manager because she came over to ask us "how everything was". It struck us as odd, and we definitely didn't feel welcome after that. If we return I will make it a point to be clean shaven and dressed appropriately.

Delicious, as always! Terrain never disappoints, and our party of 4 was well pleased!! Wait staff: great!

Absolutely delicious food. We sat in the outside area on a beautiful day. The matcha raspberry white mocha latte was amazing. I went with the smoked salmon toast and added a fried egg on top along with truffle fries. Everything was delicious and fresh.

Anthropologie made a nursery with a cafe and it's amazing. I had a fig and Brie panini and then bought a maidenhair fern. Absolutely clean and relaxing environment, I just want to go hang out all the time. We need more than the one store! Service was good, very neutral experience. Can't wait to come back!

The decor at Terrain Westport is really pretty and the menu appealing. However this is the second time I've gotten sick after eating the food here. The first time was a sleepless night after eating a cheeseburger that made me very ill. This time I guess it was the hollandaise? I had the mushroom and goat cheese frittata which was accompanied by potatoes and a small salad. It was ok but pretty bland and a bit texturally challenged. However, I guess their food refrigeration standards must be lax. Sadly I will be permanently crossing this restaurant off my list.

After a good run of positive experiences, we were disappointed again on Friday. Friendly although distracted service, and the kitchen was off its game. Cheese plate was ice cold, burger lackluster. A new addition to the menu - chicken pot pie- was sub par. Crust was flaccid and the filling was dominated by leeks. Definitely could have used another two minutes in the oven. The wine list (while still small) is well chosen but overpriced. Still - everyone has an off night, so we'll see if they can rebound next time.

Lovely stop for breakfast or lunch. Kind of loud. Service was excellent. Main courses came before we finished our soup, but almost zero wait time for both courses. I had eggs, which were good. My friend had chicken pot pie which looked good. Note, signage to find the restaurant from Route one was not good. Even as I made my way inside, wasn't sure I was in the right spot. Will be back!

We love Terrain Cafe and the store but had a mixed experience this time. We were seated near the bar which was very busy and not as nice as the garden room. We had to repeatedly ask for coffee and refills. Other special drinks arrived in a timely fashion, the bloody mary was very good. Coffee and cappucino are served in tiny cups so not great value there. The table was too small for our group. One in our party ordered french toast and it was cold. It was taken back and returned warm but without the granola. Daughter loved her grilled cheese and we all loved the flower pot bread and butter. However it felt like our party of 5 should have had 2 breads since it's so small and one is given to a party of two. The breakfast “board” which used to be served on a board is now served on a dinner plate and was just ok, small and nothing special. Chicken pot pie was small and had a soupy consistency and very thin “crust”., not like a pie crust at all. No side with that and also not great value for price. Burger was fine but very few fries given. We were disappointed honestly.
