The Boathouse at Saugatuck

Love it! Walter, food and view were amazing! This is our second time there in two weeks...loved it both times with boating friends.

The food is surprisingly good. For example, salad leaves were very fresh and crisp. Good serving sizes too. Clearly a lot of attention to detail

Amazing experience for our first visit. We had to wait a little bit as we had requested a table outside but it was worth it. We were seated at a beautiful table overlooking the river. Service and food were great. Oilfield be noisy when full.

Our waiter was outstanding. My family had a number of requests and he was on top of all of them. My meal was excellent. We had Sunday brunch outside. My family visits from Long sland and this is our perfect midway spot. I would recommend.

Excellent fresh oysters and clams from the raw bar and an amazing lobster roll! Perfect outdoor setting for a summer lunch on the water.

We all LOVED our dining experience at The Boathouse at Saugatuck Rowing Club last night. I have become a regular, as I love the AMBIENCE, FOOD, COCKTAILS, WINE AND SERVICE. The VIEW and NATURAL LIGHTING is always SPECTACULAR. Thank you so much for always making me feel SPECIAL.

We had invites friends for lunch who had just lost their eldest grandchild. It was the perfect place and they so enjoyed the time spent. It was the perfect place to have them. The food, the ambience, the beautiful views and especially our very nice and very good waiter all helped to make it a most special get together.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The dining room is beautiful with huge windows looking out onto the river. Every table has a great view. Service is friendly and professional. We shared several small plates and one entree. All were delicious. The Cesar salad is one of the best I've had. The burrata was excellent. We had the scallop special with risotto. Great flavors and generous portion. We will definitely go back.

Service has definitely declined. We have dined here many times and also had our wedding reception here. Servers shirts were visibly soiled and appetizers were brought out at the same time as entrees. Food was okay, salmon very undercooked. Did not receive a wine list at seating and had to request one. Not sure what's going on here but hopefully they will improve. Disappointing.

Extremely slow service. Food was mediocre at best. Not a great experience. Would not reccomend.

Not the kitchen's best night on what appeared to be a very quiet Saturday evening, but since it they were serving a large private event as well, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Having said that, the 45 minute wait for appetizers (salad and an order of tempura asparagus, both were fine but underwhelming) was pretty crazy. They also ran out of the scallops special, and asked to substitute a branzino, which again was adequate. For our inconvenience and patience, the very kind waiter comped us glasses of wine which was appreciated, and extended the member's discount on the entire bill. So while we still like the location, the atmosphere, and the staff, it might be a minute before we go back.

Food was "ok", my biggest gripe is that you advertised Lobster bisque. However, because of the alarm issue, which I understand was beyond your control, the bisque was ofitted. That was a HUGE disappointment as well as a factor in our decision to spend our Holiday there. For $65/pp, you should have at least offered a mimosa gratis (instead of charging an additional $16) for the inconvenience.

Great little secret! Wonderful staff and fresh delicious food courses! Can't wait to go back!

Food and drinls were fantastic. The staff goes above and beyond to take care of the guests.

My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day at The Boathouse. We enjoyed our meal. It was $85 for an appetizer, entree and dessert.
